Are you one of those people with drawers full of cruise ship brochures, posters, clothing and other items? Here's the good news: It could be worth something someday.

Just ask the folks at Swann Galleries, a New York auction house that is holding a major sale of a single collector's ship memorabilia on May 22 -- a collection that includes ocean liner photographs, brochures, posters and ship models from nearly all the shipping lines of old.

The event's most notable offerings are Titanic-related items, including a group of nine letters from the White Star Line about the ship's sinking that the auction house estimates will sell for $8,000 to $12,000. The letters include correspondence with the families of passengers lost on the ship....
