Pay no attention to that ship behind the curtain because its not real! Or is it? It looked like a ship and I hear the video was amazing. What video you ask? Earlier this year a video was posted on different video sharing websites and cruise travel forums. It was entitled 'Carnival Pinnacle" and reportedly showed a cruise ship (computer animation) that had Monorails to move guests around, a Lazy River, Glass Elevators and more. All of the links on YouTube.com come back to the video being removed but, does show some interesting photos taken from the removed video. So the video really did exist. When I followed one of the links it stated "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by FINCANTIERI – Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A. ". On one forum it was said "People were fired for releasing this video". Another said "its been removed from the entire internet!". Others speculated whether the ship they were seeing was simply a concept of a future ship with no real connection to Carnival Cruises. Some asked why the ship had a name "Carnival Pinnacle" because they never name ships unless they build them. Some said it was already under construction as the Carnival Dream. This was shot down by John Heald in his blog where he said the ship in question was not the Carnival Dream. What is interesting is how in todays "internet world", how fast and and easy a photo or video can be sent around the world and back. In the end, people will only second guess what they really did or didn't seen behind the curtain. You were only dreaming... a Carnival Dream maybe.

Is this a design of the future?
