Amtrack to Vancouver

Can anyone tell me how this works? How do you book it? Where do you pick it up in Seattle? Can you check your luggage? How far in advance of the departure do you need to be there?

The thing about the train is that they only have one which departs very early in the morning, so your plane would need to arrive by 5:00am or so.... I think it leaves around 6:30am the last I looked....you may be better off taking Quick Coach bus.....I ended up flying directly into Vancouver after looking at all the options.... the bus takes 4 hours....I was able to use points for my flight anyways so it didn't cost us anything anyways.....good luck

I didn't think the bus handled luggage???

We would get to Seattle the day before.

Long story but we have FF miles on an airline that doesn't go to Vancouver. (We had another trip booked but it got cancelled so we ended up with FF miles on a certain airline). So we are really stuck flying in to Seattle.

The TRAIN I repeat the TRAIN leaves Seattle every morning North Bound to Vancouver at 7:45 AM. I f you are checking bags you need to be there at least a 1/2 hour early.

From the King Street Station which is near the Two major Sports fields in Seattle. Actual address is 303 South Jackson St.
You can check you baggage on all trains.
I recommend business class for the xtra few bucks and highly recommend the trip.
We booked on line at Amtrak.cam. really easy or see a travel agent anywhere.

Leaves at 7:45 a.m. Daily and arrives in Vancouver at 11:40 a.m.
