it seems that mostly stuff for here and other ports still is getting lumped into the Alaska board. Over time I will attempt to fix that.

We left from Vancouver on the 28th of August 2005 see my review of the Infinity for my impressions.

Stats just released for Vancouver's cruise Season.

PAX 910,000 2% down from last yr. Seattle market keeps chipping way. However they plan on really streamlining the US citizens from the airport to/from the ships next year without customs and Immigration..direct from your plane to the check in counter.....(on the day of the cruise/flt only of course)

Just visited here where our cruise initiated.

We could not find a good priced hotel in Vancouver (downtown) and even Priceline let us down this time, so I would like to pass along a great deal I found in nearby Burnaby at the Hilton. Went on the Interent and got a special rate for encouraging Canada tourism of something like $115 US. We had a FANTASTIC corner room, glass from floor to ceilings, free Internet... luxurious bedding - down comforter and pillows -- I wasn't sure I wanted to leave! It was very quiet and comfortable. The view was spectacular! We could actually see the water and there were mountains behind us. The sky train was only a block from the hotel (which we used to get around) and a big mall across the street. There was also a nice big grocery store a block away and we were able to get some quick breakfast there at McDonald's inside and Tim Horton's.

We also got a free pass on the Sea Bus and took that over to the Quay Market. Wonderful little place for strolling, view of Vancouver and some shops. Not too big, but a nice visit. Plenty of little places to eat that is not too expensive.
