I got it also from Priceline. I bid $60 a room and WON!! It's a great deal for a hotel in downtown Vancouver. I don't think it's too far from the piers. I know it is on the trolley route if you're planning on using the trolley to see the city at all. We're actually staying there post cruise. It looks like a beautiful hotel- and it's right by Stanley Park. That's a huge plus in itself.
We also bid $60 through Priceline. I was shocked we at getting a room for $60, especially a Westin.
We are staying 1 night pre-cruise. This is our first trip to Alaska, and Vancouver.

It's a Great hotel. Without luggage a 15 min walk along the ******seawall to Canada Place. Good restaurants and pubs nearby and about a minute to Stanley park on foot.
***** This was prior to the Olympic building on the waterfront just to the N/W of Canada place which is betweeen the Bayshore and CP.
and that is a great rate even in US$
I tried $60 but was not accepted. I tried $65 and it took. Will be there in May for our pre-cruise night. We are cruising with Princess the next day. I checked Westin's internet site and it looks like an outstanding hotel for the money. It appears they have a shuttle that runs from the airport to the hotel. It may be on a limited basis however. I know they have a shuttle which runs downtown so a drop off close or at, Canada Pier, might be available as well. Does anyone have more information on this?
Hi. How do you ensure that is the Westin you are getting and not another hotel? What "Star" rating did you bid? I have never done this before, and am afraid I am not going to like the hotel I assigned. Seems like so many get the Westin - any tips?
Thanks

Bid for a four star hotel in downtown Vancouver only. No other zones. There are no guarantee's that if another four star becomes available, Priceline may assign you there. Currently, only the Westin Bayshore is coming up as a four star choice. More than likely, these rooms are associated with the convention facility towards the rear of their property and not in their high rise tower. This is still a great rate with all the amenities. Be aware that their exercise spa is under renovation and not available for use. During the week there is construction activity planned.
