    Re: The Jewel

    Roland,
I hope that you were not offended my my reference to the term sneaking. If you were I am sorry. I guess that we are all a bit envious of anybody who has managed to get an early preview of the ship. Although the photos are truly excellent, they cannot compare with feel of actually being on board.
Have you any idea who is going to be her patron ? I assume that RCCI will announce their name tomorrow.
    Best Wishes
    David.

    Re: The Jewel

    David,

Of course I am not offended by your little remark.
As you write, nothing can compare with the feeling of being onboard the ship. With only a dozen or so top TA´s and about the same number of world media people plus the brass from RCCL in Miami aboard the beautiful ship, it was a very special experience.
Yes, I do have an idea who will be JW´s patron. However it is not yet official, so unfortunately I can´t tell you.

    Re: The Jewel

    Dear David,
If it was that simple I would tell you (with the risk of never again being invited to sneak around on new ships). But remember, tomorrow is "only" delivery day. Naming will not take place until May 7!
    All the best to you
    Roland

    Re: The Jewel

    Hi all,
We are booked on the Jewel on 28Oct04. We called RCI back in Feb. to book a cruise out of Baltimore on the Granduer and we were told The Granduer would be in dry dock at that time so they told us about The Jewel and encouraged us to book it. At that time there was nothing on the internet about this cruise on the Jewel. The first time I saw it on the internet it was completly booked. We are looking forward to sailing on the Jewel because we didn't care for the Voyager class ships. This will be our 10th cruise. The 9th with RCI.
