From all your experience, when will RCCL open Aug 2005 for booking? I talked to someone from their website and they said in a few months. That's only one year away.
I noticed other cruise lines are booking.
thanks.

This was our experience last year when trying to make a booking for May 2004. The bookings for the Caribbean for May 2004 did not become available until June 30 2003 so less than one year out.
We sat and waited for bookings to open and watched day by day and received a different answer everytime we questioned when they would be available.
So finally on June 30, 2003 we were able to book our May 16 2004 Mariner cruise which I can say is now about 57 days away and so looking foward to it.

We have available bookings for Aug. '05 on our site. Depends on what ship, but most are available.
You should go before Aug 2005! Don't wait, have fun now!
If my math is correct it's a little less then 18 months away!!
It amazes me that the cruise lines will commit to pricing their product even a year in advance. Pricing in US dollars must be pretty risky in view of the 25%+ exchange rate loss the dollar has had against the Euro and pound sterling in the past year. It is unlikely that their fuel, labor and provisioning costs at international ports are fixed that long in advance. When I was pricing European hotels for upcoming Mediteranean and trans-Atlanic cruises the currency impact was very obvious. For us, cruise fares are really a travel bargain in addition to being our favored way of traveling.
