Pumpkin Cake Bars...

[Cruise cutie]

PUMPKIN CAKE BARS......preheat oven to 325 degrees
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin..( I stew my own/ store brand works fine)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
ONE box yellow OR white cake mix
1/2 cup butter melted
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts are best).

Vegetable /Pam spray a cake pan ( 13x9x2).. set aside..
Mix eggs, pumpkin, sugar, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.. pour into cake pan,
sprinkle cake mix on top of the liquid , drizzle melted butter on top, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of that.. Bake 325 degrees one hour and 20 minutes or till done.. cool, serve cut into squares....enjoy

recipe can be doubled into a 15x10x2.. pyrex ( that's what I make ...bake about 15 minutes longer..).=hug.s Joanne

Thanks cutes - they sound great. I have a pumpkin bar recipe that has canned pumpkin in it that is good, but these look interesting with the cake mix in them. These must not have a frosting?!!? Mine have a cream cheese one.
