Computer question for all you smart folks

HELP! On my laptop, the Internet Explorer has stopped working. It works just fine on Leon's laptop and on this little netbook. The message states that a problem has caused it to stop working, but it doesn't bother to tell me what the problem is. I have not installed anything new and it was working okay last night. I've rebooted, rebooted the router, deleted all the junk, etc., but no luck. I'm NOT a computer guru and don't want to mess anything up. All suggestions will be appreciated.

When my explorer stopped working a while back I had to clean the cache, delete the cookies and reinstall it before it would work properly. I do not know if that will fix your problem, but that is as much advice as I can offer. . . . Hope its not too difficult a fix for you.

    Close out IE

    Select the "Start" button

    Then select "Control Panel"

    Look and select "Internet Options"

You'll see the pop-up box that you use when clearing cache.

Select the "Advance" tab at the top of the box.

Select the "Reset" button displayed in the grey area.

This should reset IE back to the default settings.

Close out the box and restart IE.

I had the problem one time that the little antenna switch got turned off without me knowing it and it wouldn't "see" my router. I had no idea this little switch was even there no less it getting moved to the off position.

I tried everything and finally had to take it to the brilliant folks at the computer hospital. It had some "mild" form of malware that came from heaven only knows. Avast is supposed to block all that, but it missed that one.
