This is one of the better perks of this job. When I'm deployed, it's almost always because a lot of folks have, and are continuing to, suffer from some major calamity. Only exception was last September, when the team had training out in Granola Country and I mooched a visit with the GloBug, Flash Gordon, Kiefer, Da Katzez and Da Turd-Burds.

While I get big time satisfaction in being part of a team has the privledge of coordinating all Federal response and recovery efforts to the emergency/disaster; it can get a bit depressing for us also. Having Cruise Addicts scattered all over the country affords me the opportunity to reach out to Ducks, Groupies, Ya-Yas, Phlamingos and all my other C@s friends, and also to achieve some degree of personal decompression from the wurk. Oh, and I get some great dinners too!

Well, got to get on the road. It's about a 90 minute drive (provided the traffic cooperates) from the north side of Denver down to Colorado Springs, and I want to stop by the Zoom-School (USAFA) enroute. And, I have to find a decent restaurant. Any suggestions?
