I'm Moving to VA!

I'm back & so glad to be home. 3 weeks with spotty internet unless I went to my daughter's house. I tried posting several times from the hotel only to find that whilst typing I went offline Auuugh!

We bought a house to be built. Denise, it is a wooded lot off Courthouse Rd. in Everette Estates.

What an ordeal house shopping was. We looked at existing houses the first week and nothing suited our needs. The next week my back molar abcessed and the antibiotics the dentist gave me upset my stomach so I wasn't up to doing anymore than I absolutely had to.


Now I have to redesign my kitchen. The builder is really good about making changes and we are taking advantage. DH told me to get anything I want within reason since this is our last move. Gosh I could go crazy if I had an unlimited budget but I will behave. We are having them downgrade the countertops to laminate because we can get granite so much cheaper here & take it with us since we will have to make several driving trips to get the cars there.

So much to think about and so much to get rid of here. We should be moving in 8 months give or take.


Buddy went along with us. He turned out to be a fairly good flyer and coming home was thankful that Newt Gringrich was aboard so the pilot was prevented to tying his carrier to the top of the plane.

Poor me, I am being forced to plan a Caribbean cruise in Dec and will take a dogleg to VA on the return flight to see grands & check on progress.

So glad you were able to get your plans together. Know you will to so happy to be nearer to family. I helped plan this house but my problem was the builder would ask Paw abt changing something-and Paw went a long with everything. Of course guess I did need door into the bathroom which I hadn't planned for. (lol)
