    Grin MAW'S FRIDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning all. Come join me in a cuppa and some chat. Yes I am awake extra early this morning. Couldn't wait to start eating all that good fruit we have. so nice and cool this morning. We got a little rain in night but could have used an all night rain and then some.
Some of dust layed for a while on road might look like we had dusted if I get the get up and go to do some things this morning. Paw has a project in garage he is trying to fix window which won't go up and down on PU.

I have my day planned so will see how much I really get done. LOL

Sending good wishes to everyone celebrating this week end. Especially to Niecie. KK I really think it is time for you to move-you have had so much trouble there lately. A few years ago we had to do roof, airconditioner, hot water tank frepairs all in short time.

What is happening in your corner of the sandbox?

Good Mornin maw and the rest of U Ramblers to follow. U are indeed early today maw as U even beat Cuz E to the punch. Glad to hear U are enjoying that fresh fruit this morning. I sympathize with paw as we have a vehicle that has one window that stays closed FULL time. I can certainly sympathize with KK also as we did all those repairs as well in about a 3 month time span about 5 years ago.

Looks like we are in for another spectacular day here with temps in the low 90's and LOTS of sun.
I believe it goes without saying that U know where I can be found. Like U maw our excitement levels are beginning to build as our day fast grows closer for our trip across the BIG Pond. We are now starting to cross all the t's and dot all the i's in last minute confirmation and prep mode as today marks the 50 day mark for US.

Well I best get back to the sat mines so I hope EVERYONE has a Gr8 Day and and even BETTER weekend and Plays Safely!!!

    Good Morning Everyone

MAW -- in 2002 we had a lot happen then as well. First the hospital lost DH's mother's body. Within a couple of days we had a Microburst hit and lost part of our roof -- not covered by insurance. Then we had to replace the air conditioner and furnace. Then the hot water tank went. Since we had to cancel a cruise because of all those problems -- I told DH that I was sick of the dark wood in the game so we do it over completely -- including new furniture -- mine was 29 years old.

The new man who came to redo the tile in my bathroom did an excellent job. While we was working I noticed that the house was getting hotter and hotter. So I checked the air -- no air conditioning. Thankfully the man who services our furnace was able to come out right away. It turned out to be a simple fix. With all the pounding and everything going on in the house and on the roof, one of the wires leading to the furnace had worked itself loose.

When the bathroom man and the air man were ready to leave -- they found themselves trapped here. The road crews arrived to put down the new asphalt on the road that leads up towards us house. Massive trucks everywhere. They only got one half paved. They are back already this morning working on the other half. So we can't get out of our driveway.

DH won't consider moving to an appartment -- he loves sitting outside when we can and looking at all the flowers and trees - he didn't have any of that at his parents house. He loves watching the birds -- that's why we have 7 regular feeders and 2 hummingbird feeders. And keeping 3 bird baths clean.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.

Oh my goodness, you're early. My coffee isn't even ready yet.

Painter worked in hall bath yesterday, will return either today or tomorrow to finish. He had to re do some of the texture, so it has to thoroughly dry befor he can finish painting.

Goin to go to the lumber yard and get the new vanity / mirror that matches the cabinets. If they have good looking plants, I may get some more for the beds. I'm ready for the fall colors for some reason.

Our son called, FURIOUS, his older son 18 has not worked all summer, and is just laying around at home. So he wants me to put him to work ( Hard Physical work were his words exactly). So next week he will take all the boards off our fence, and replace them with new better ones. I do like free labor!!!!

Coffee's ready. Come join me for some yogurt and sweet breads with the coffee.

    Re: MAW'S FRIDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning everyone. I'm up early this morning too - working an early shift at work so I can leave early. No real reason, just want to spend some time in the sun when I get home! I will be able to leave work at 2:15 and get home by 2:30 so deck and sun - here I come!

First time I've been up this early in new house - and had to turn lights on! It's usually getting light out. Oh well, it'll be worth it when I get home so early!

Found out last night my daughter has called off her engagement. Can't say I didn't see it coming - hope she manages OK. She's more worried about finding a new place to live that will accept 2 big dogs! I wish her luck!

No plans for weekend - just plan on puttering around house. I'm sure we'll find something to do!

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend!

    Terry

    Good morning cruise addicts,
Nothing much new around here. Things are getting busier at work and that is good. I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Still hot and humid here. TGIF!
