    Re: MAW'S FRIDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

    Good Morning Maw and Ramblers

Have a busy day ahead of us. Going to the insurance company to sign on with them, after nearly 40 yrs being with one company, we decided to switch over to another. The one we have keeps going up and up.

This afternoon I'm taking my Dad's wife Betty to the eye doctor and to the grocery store.

This Sunday is the 50th reunion on my Dad's side of the family. My Dad will be missed as most of his sibblings. The only ones left are his sister who is 96/97 and uncle 89. Of course we are now the older generation. There a so many cousins and their families who attend.

Good morning gang. Maw, you are up & atem early whereas I've had a busy morning & running behind. For some reason had to get logged in here again but fortunately was able to find my password fast. Yesterday's rain didn't amount to much here in the metro area, approx a tenth of an inch but as usual, areas close by got much more. Sunny but cool out there this morning with temps now in mid 50s so need to let the chill pass before I take the kids out.

Volunteered Mike to help at GS's class a couple of mornings a week. Teacher said district cannot afford to pay for any aids so she is asking for parents/grandparents if they can help. She has 27 kids in her kindergarten class & will be teaching them how to read. She needs help with the other 20 kids while she works in a small group of 6-7 kids getting the basics down for beginning to read. People wonder why the U.S. is falling behind other countries in education. Well, this is why. One teacher can only do so much working with 27 five yr olds, especially when she wants to try to give them some individual attention. So we shall give it a try & see how it works out. He has his club which he is president of & keeps him busy a couple of evenings a week but this would give him a reason to get up & get moving in the morning. I'm hoping it is a win win situation.

No plans for the weekend. Maybe see the Batman movie. Have a great day.

    Hi Maw and everyone.

Triple digits with possible thunder & lightning. Crazy weather we're having. No one is in the office this a.m. so I can take a minute and say Hi.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Re: MAW'S FRIDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

    Evening Maw and Gang!!

Been extra busy this week, or just taking work/life harder, I guess. Ha!

Den & I went to dinner tonight at a fancy restaurant and I got black truffle pork tenderloin. Melted in my mouth!! It's been a while since I've had a good meal out. We just don't go out much anymore. Den had a seafood potpie and it was full of grouper and 3 other types of fish. We each brought half of our dinner home. Leftovers!!

American Idol was here today, downtown on the Square. People started camping out at 2 am, waiting for them to start auditioning. We didn't go down, figured there would be too many folks down there. And, in seeing our pm news, we chose correctly. I hope they found someone from our area to go on the show.

Other than that, the weather is nice and cool. 81 degrees for the next 3 days, and then inching up to 84. I can take that after week upon week of triple digits.

    Here's wishing y'all a great evening!
    Corky
