    Maw's Monday Office Ramble

Good morning all!!! Grab a hot cuppa and come by and chat. Each evening and early morning Paw sits and watches out the window. Last night he was sitting there looking when 3 small deer came by and ate in front yard. This morning there were 5 deer who come by. We had heard earlier that there was a doe in neighborhood who had 3 fawns in the spring. This morning we had a big buck, doe and the 3 smaller deer. I have some tall decorative grass in front yard and they find it most falls and winter. Tomorrow is the last day of deer season. Noticed yesterday ducks (NOT GEESE) on one pond when we went to breakfast.

I really hope to finish up around here today--hard to get old and run out of energy when you have so much you want to do. Paw has some little things to finish up in yard on his decorations. He had timers on last night so he could see what else he needs to do. Family room is the last project-until he is thru running in and out will do no good cleaning the floor. My chore is to clean off surfaces today. Wonder how much more I can cram into the storage area out here.

Hope everyones wek plans are coming together and you have a good time for Thanksgiving. don't forget shopping on Black Friday--girls and used to go but I just move to slow these days.

What is happening in your corner of the sandbox?

Good morning maw. I get a chance to post before I get ready for work today!

My MIL's house on the island has deer frequent it quite often - she loves to sit and watch them eat her leaves!

Very quiet day yesterday watching football - Canadian and American. My American teams won, my Canadian team lost - badly. they had a bad year and didn't deserve to be in the playoff anyway.

Back to work this week. No holiday for us. One of these years I will try shopping in states on black Friday - have never done that.

Hope you all have a great week getting ready for your holiday.

    bye for now, Terry

Mornin' Maw, Paw & C@ Gang!!

Maw - I am cleaning today as well. I have the laundry ready to start and then dusting and sweeping upstairs. Maybe do 30 mins on the treadmill.

Other than that...just puttering around the house for the next couple of weeks. Since I watch my Man on Fridays, and his wife is off this coming Friday due to Thanksgiving, I do not go back until Dec 4th. So a big long break for me.

For dinner tonight we are going to have roasted chicken, and a potato/turnip mix, black eyed peas and corn bread. The only thing I am missing is green onions. I never did make bread yesterday, I think I will wait until Wednesday to do that so it is fresh when the Boy gets here.

    Happy Day C@'s!!

    Good morning Maw and ramblers

It ia another chilly morning here in the neighbor hood, at least their is no rain.

Maw, you and Paw are always so busy around the house.

Corky, your menus always sound so good.

It is just a normal Monday, dusting, laundry etc.

Have a great Monday & enjoy the fun getting ready for your Thanksgiving dinner.

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friends,
Maw we used to have alot of deer here all around us when we moved out here in 1979, but it has been built up so that they have very little open space around here anymore. Still see them once in awhile but not as often.
I came sown a little later this morning, just didn't want to crawl out. I still have a couple of children, they both spent the night again last night. Geena dosn't have school all week so she thought she should stay again. She just loves to play with the little one & she mothers him near to death, it's like she is his shasow.
Very mild again this morning but they say rain all day, it looks damp out there now. I don't think I will be going anywhere toay. Tomorrow I have to go pick up my turkey from my husbands old employer. It's about 1/2 hour there & back, so I hope the snow they say we are going to get hold off.
    Take care

Good morning, Maw, and the rest of the @ddicts Family, from central Joisey where it's a cloudy 42 degrees. Weatherman says we're supposed to get rain later on today, and my sinuses are telling me that, too.

We had a busy day Saturday...Confirmation in the morning, then Great-Great Niece's 2nd Birthday in the afternoon. By evening, we were both beat!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching. We're going down to Mal's Dad and Stepmom's. She is on a walker and he has limited sight so we're going down early to help with the preparations. Mal will go down much earlier than I to get the turkey prepped and in the oven!

Mal put the Christmas tree up yesterday and put the lights on it this morning. This coming weekend is the annual Gingerbread House/tree trimming weekend with the Girls. They're coming over Thursday night and will go home at some point on Sunday. Don't tell them, but Mal and I enjoy it even more than they do! :grin

    Cyberhugs to all those in need of them. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day!

Good morning @ddicts! Well, the sun is out this morning and they are calling for temps around 60 today so that part is good - the bad part is that a storm front is on it's way and we are supposed to get rain and colder temps tonight.

Not a whole lot planned for today. Steve just took two of the dogs in to the vet for a day of grooming. The one dog left is running around the house trying to figure out where the others went :) I hope to get some Kumihimo worked on today, we hall see.

Maw, my Mom gets deer in her backyard and she lives in the city. She hates them as they eat all of her plants Speaking of ducks, I was watching the Iron Chef's Thanksgiving the other day and for one of their ingredients they had to take a duck (still with its head, feet and feathers) and cook it. It was horrible to watch how they did this. Poor ducks. Now my dogs would love to eat those ducks as that is what is in their food :D

    Jan, enjoy those grandkids.

Corky and Tango, have a great day.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and for those who are not feeling well, I hope that you are feeling better soon.

    Put it up ... where?

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Have a day off here. Well, kinda off. Actually don't have to go in until 11pm. Tomorrow is an evening shift. Off Wednesday, but have to wurk Thanksgiving morning. Then 12 hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lotta hours, but, in this day and age, just thankful to have a job.

Still have to get the Christmas lights up ....

Yeah Maw, the Retreat does look like the best outdoor spot for the Duck Pond. If it's rainy, we can just move inside to the aft/port area of the Lido ...

Good morning gang. Had a pleasant warm weekend but today it's back to cold & dreary. Did all my shopping for Thanksgiving dinner so I don't have to go back to store til after the holiday.

Maw, DH & I ventured out on Black Friday a few yrs ago & vowed NEVER again! Guess I'm just too old to put up with all the nonsense of people pushing & shoving their way thru. We do go out late in the day when the crowds die down & we have still managed to find some good deals left on the shelf.

We're hoping Mike's scooter arrives today. Since we just spent $2K on this scooter we told everybody that we're cutting WAY back on Xmas this yr.

Not much else happening here. Have a good day.

Good morning Maw and Ramblers. I am back to work today and feeling a whole lot better. Still coughing but no not as bad as I was. Got a decent night's sleep last night tool

Not much else to report. Maw, I so enjoy watching the deer too when they venture in but I am always so afraid one will cross the road in front of me while driving....we have a lot of that around here and those guys do a lot of damage to a car.

Hope everyone has a good day.
