Good day all. Come join me in a cool drink and some chat. Have really been just totally relaxed this morning. Thinking abt family and how my Dad's is all gone. Do have some 2nd and 3rd cousins but no contacts any more. Then got to thinking abt all the old days on this board wqhen I first joined-we used to have such a good time in Chat room think that is when I got to thinking of you all as my children. Miss hearing from Suer and scooterman, John NJ and Thumbs, Hooked. Still see him around occasionaly. Miss Mal and boB sharing their jokes with me. Knew the West Coasters better back then too. Wonder ever so often what is happening in everyones worlds who used to post regular. Miss Jenny on West Coast, Ms. Dolly up in Cnada, Ginny and Rick down in Florida, haven't heard from Sea Wall in a while.Seamom wonder if you are still painting?
Haven't heard from Whitehsired guy and Surfergirl in a long time. Miss seeing Cindy and Ed posting. May be could start a thread of everyone just dropping by and saying hello and when they first posted.Katcruiser I wonder abt you often. Ali where are you today?

Going to be a quiet week end-Paw is moving around the water and I am getting in chair putting feet up. What is happening where you are?

Another perfect summer day on tap for us again today. Yesterday we had a high of 80 with very little humidity & they say the same for today.
I need to get off of here & get a few things done around here. I have a graduation party to go to later on this afternoon. I need to do all the things that need doing before I go because I know I wont be getting anything done when I get back.
I didnt do a thing yesterday I was just mentality drained I guess.
Brian is going down to see mmy brother today, not that he will know him I dont think but at least he will have some company for awhile. Still havnt heard anything back from those people at that hospital. Maybe on Mon.

Good morning maw and other cruise addicts. I am anxiously awaiting my new wash machine today. My old one finally died after 27 years. I don't think the new one will last as long. It seems the appliances aren't made to last like they used to.

Suppose to go to Joe's family picnic today. Sure looks like more rain coming in. I hope it hold off until this evening. We had a bad storm last night while we were driving home from one of my son-in-laws surprise birthday party. I was glad to get home. The weather is suppose to be great tomorrow. Lets hope anyway as we will be attending one of our grandaughters graduation party at her house. We sure have a busy weekend. It seems like either we have nothing to do or we are quite busy.

Good morning. I have the sheets churning & the rest of the washing sorted ready to do. It is a cloudy morning but 'they' say it will clear up soon. With the cooler mornings the grass is looking really good.

Alf & I are the oldest still alive in both our families. And we have lost touch with some of the cousins on both sides.

Jan I hope that you can find out some answers about your brother soon. What a worry. It just goes to remind us all to put our wishes down on paper & to let some one know where the information is.

Good morning everyone. Just about to head out to a couple of garage sales, then will come home and make lists of what we need to get to stock hubby up for groceries while I'm away. Leave tomorrow morning bright and early! May not get a chance to post while I'm away - not sure what the internet situation is at my sister's.

Maw you brought up so many names that were on the board when I first joined - wonder where they all are now! At least there's still a few of us old timers around!

Cloudy and cooler this morning like Liz mentioned - hope it clears up so we can have some sun on deck this afternoon. Hubby is bbqing me some chicken for my birthday dinner! Can't wait!

Good Morning Everyone

The "Water Damage" man was here at 7 AM. He took pictures and called his crew out. They arrived at 10. More picture taking. More of the ceiling in Joe's bathroom has to go as it is water soaked from the burst pipe. This man also called our insurance company and hopefully on Monday we will get a call to what will be covered and what we will have to pay. So far we have put out $$$$ just for the repairs of the pipe. The last thing the crew that is here now will do is to set up fans in my bathroom, the utility room and DH's bathroom. They will run 24/7 until the crew gets back on Tuesday.

Roofers are to be here something next week to check for Hail and Wind damage that occured while we were away.

Good morning Maw and Ramblers. Sunny and humid this morning....temps going up into the 90s today with a chance of tstorms which is expected when it is this humid.

Maw, I miss the old days here on @ddicts. Have met so many good people here over the last 12 years. Sometimes folks leave because of life changes.....and I know personalities clash from time to time have caused hurt feelings.....I've always hated to see when folks leave because of this. It would be nice to see some old faces pop in from time to time.

We had Jacob and his friend Conner spend the night last night. Jacob is working on cutting the grass. This is the first it has been cut in about 6 weeks with the heat/drought. Later this evening DD Mindy and family will be here for dinner.

I never made it to the mall yesterday so hope to do that after we take Jacob home...right now just playing that by ear. This morning I've been playing on the computer with arranging my digital pictures. I have a folder that I call "upload" that I put on my digital picture frame. I just added pictures from the last couple cruises and Christmas that I didn't have in it. I just ordered a new 15 inch digital frame so I am getting pics organized for when it comes in.

Well, better jump in the shower....it is almost noon and I am still in my jammies...y'all take care and have a GREAT Saturday!

Morning Maw and everyone.

Tired this morning as we stayed up and watched the opening ceremonies. Didn't end until almost midnight which is way past my bedtime. When we did get to bed the cat would not leave me alone. Had to lay on top of me and she is a little to heavy for that.

Today I have finish printing out the quarterly payroll tax returns and have everyone pick them up. Going to try to squeeze in a movie this weekend too.

Our weather has been in the mid 80s for the last few days. In fact, it has been about 61 when I leave for work in the morning. Weatherman says we will have triple digits tomorrow but he has been wrong before.

Maw, I don't usually get to post during the week but I do pop in to see what is going on. I have a little more time on the weekends. Today I am later than usual as I don't have yoga class today so I slept in a little.

I'm watching the USA and Croatia girls basketball game, and we really need to get in gear if we're gonna win. I'm not much of a sports fan, but I do like basketball in the Olympics. Sure beats soap operas! I'm hoping that the youngest DS uses the opportunity to go to some Olympic event while he lives in London. Thank heavens for Kindles, computers and the Olympics while this knee recuperates. I hate being off work and having all these things that need to be done, but being forced to sit so much.

I'm debating a cruise out of Galveston now that Princess is sailing from there again. The only problem is that only Caribbean cruises are offered and Leon just can't stand the heat anymore. There are always shore excursions that don't last all day!
