    Grin MAW'S SATURDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning all. Come join me in a cuppa and some chat. Beautiful cool fall morning here.Course it will heat up later today. So nice to have fresh air coming in. I really had a good day yesterday I finally made some headway in my bedroom getting it organized. Have made a place to pack suitcase other than foot of my bed. I am sending a box of clothes to trash. Yea.!! I think I even slept better with room being cleaner.

Paw is starting a pot of chilli to have this cooler day. We neither plan to do much today .

Paw accomplished a bunch in back yard two small trees had died and tops fell out. so he got a good bunch of little limbs cleaned up and burned. He always takes a hose out.
Gets a lawn chair and takes his beer cooler. He just enjoys his little fires and relaxing.

Quiet weekend here as usual. Think we are going down to Bolivar in morning and eat at resturant-maybe we will get to see Billy 3. Melissa goes to church on Sunday morning usually.

    sending good wishes to all.

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friends
Cooler here too Maw but not as cool as yesterday morning. It was about 56 when I got up this morning & they say it will get up to about 76 today with bright sun. Just about perfect. I think the high yesterday was 73. It was nice with no wind.
I did get out & about for a little bit yesterday & did a few errands.
Maw glad to hear that your room is coming along. I should start to go through my closet again. There is so much stuff in there I dont wear anymore. One time when Beckie did the wash & brought my clothes up on hangers she said there was no where to hang them. Hint hint maw clean out your closet. I used to also use the closet in 1 of my spare bedrooms for my clothes but have since made them all fit in my room. Of course I did get rid of some when I brought everything back to my room.
Maw I hope Paw is careful when he is burning. Around here no one can burn anything. People have to get a permit if they want to have a rec fire in there back yard.
No plans for the day yet.
    Take care

Mornin' Maw, Paw, Janpep and C@ Gang!!

Maw & Jan - I know what you mean about too many clothes. I have too many and need to clean out and send to Goodwill again. It is like they multiply in my closet, like little rabbits. Ha-ha

I am finally working in my stained glass studio today. I spent some time reorganizing it yesterday. I am working on 2 windows that are 30" X 18" for a client. I've had the pieces all cut out for at least 2 months, but it has been too hot to work in there this summer. So, that is what I am doing this weekend. Woo!!

Going to a friends 65th birthday party/dinner later this afternoon. I can't believe I have a friend turning 65 already. Aargh!!

    Happy Day C@'s!!

Good morning. A beautiful day here in Montana, just 53 degrees now, but should get up in the 90's today. A good day to finish harvest. Finally!

Only 8 am and I already have sheets churning, stuffed peppers in the oven - DH's favorite and something I won't eat, so there 2 for his dinner tonight and three meals for the freezer. I have not been eating much with the chemo pills, actually have lost some weight. The volunteer senior who comes in to work once a week and files (bless her!) told me to take my pills with yogurt, ice cream or pudding because that will coat my stomach. Don't like yogurt or ice cream so am going to try the pudding.

I am hoping my DD comes out today to mop and vacuum. It has been 7 weeks since I fractured my L5 and the doctor said "he'll see" in another 6 weeks. Meanwhile can't vacuum, dust, reach, lift anything over 10#, etc., and it is definitely making changes in my life. I am just thankful he let me go back to work. I work at the Sheriff's Office with all men, most of them as young or younger than my kids, so they are pretty sure I am on my last leg and do my lifting and reaching!

I booked the Sapphire Inside Passage 9/21/13 from Vancouver to celebrate DH's 65th bday. And his retirement - ha! farmers and ranchers never think they need to retire! We are going to Hawaii on the Golden in December with some friends from North Carolina that we met 3 years ago on the same cruise, same ship. Should be fun.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Good morning all,
We are having thundersorms here this morning. According to the weather radar it should pass through and clear up this afternoon. I have some errands to do but nothing that won't wait for the weather to clear. Guess I should use this time to clean the kitchen floor. Nothing much on our agenda today.
    Have a good day,
    Pat

Good morning Maw and Corky, and fellow ramblers.

It's another beautiful day here in the Cleveland area. Mostly sunny and low seventies. Couldn't ask for nicer weather.

Maw, good job on clearing out the clothes. I just dicarded a large bag of clothes myself. Put it out for Easter Seals pick up, yesterday morning. It was all stuff that is too big for me now.

I actually have very little left to wear. Need very badly to buy some new stuff, but the styles at the stores are just dreadful. All flimsy, stretch materials that make me look like a sack of potatoes tied in the middle. Usually I reward myself for weight loss, by buying something new. But looking at myself in those awful styles, (and in a three way mirror no less), is no reward, that's for sure.

Corky, that stained glass work sounds interesting. Be sure to post some photos of it when you're done. I love to see.

Have a wonderful end-of-summer day, all.

PS for Gloria. If you are nauseated a lot with the chemo, it might be better to avoid the foods you really like. When I worked the chemo floor we would warn the patients that if you repeatedly pair your favorite food with that feeling of nausea you can train yourself into having an aversion to that particular food. It would be a shame to ruin the pleasure of those foods for your future. It happens to a lot of patients.

    Good Morning Everyone

We have about 4 hours of a nice gentle rain yesterday -- really needed it.

This morning we got up to fog and temeratures in the 50's -- quite low for us this time of the year.

    Everyone have a good day.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.

Good morning. Another sunny warm morning & even about 1 degree cooler not that that makes much of a difference! Maw we are not allowed to burn anything here. A total burn ban was put effect in the other day.

My dd was saying the other day that she needed some new tops but couldn't find any so any tops that I want to get rid of for various reasons go to her. I loved the one that was sent hew way yesterday but haven't heard if she likes it.

    Enjoy your day out tomorrow.

    Morning Maw and everyone.

Still have triple digits here but the humidity dropped a bit.

Yoga class this morning and some client work this afternoon. Tonight "The Hunger Games" is on PPV. My DB and his wife will come for dinner and a movie. Will be a fun evening.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Hello Gang!

Been busy morning for me - cleaning house and doing laundry!

We had a great time last night. First time we have been able to golf on our mixed legue in 6 weeks. Golf was terrible - but one couple had all of us over to their house for Tacos and "Rita's". Fun catching up with everyone! Oh and they announced they are having a baby! They are the age of our second son - so excited for them. Asked they why they golf on our Old Couple's league but they like being around us!

Jim is staining the new wood work and we finally have 2 rooms back together! Our bedroom and the bathroom. Painter will be here Monday to do the spare bedroom and the upstairs hallway!

Cleaning and pitching alot of stuff as we go through each room. No need to keep all this crap anymore - can not belive I even had most of it! lol

Got chicken breast to grill for dinner - now just need to figure what else to have with it!

Hope you all have a great day - be careful and enjoy!
