popcorn - sorry for the dentist and the high bill. Crazy isn't it that we have to pay for so much pain? LOL

Jeanie - I too am so excited for the C@'s who are sailing these next couple of months and wish I was going in Feb with the group. Have fun buying a new crock pot. They sure have come along to one of the easiest kitchen gadgets to use. Couldn't live without mine.

Red - beautiful, beautiful flowers and Happy Birthday again. I am glad you had such a nice one. Everyone deserves a nice birthday. :)

Tango - congrats on passing your test and good luck on getting permanent employment.

I've been busy this morning fixing up a lasagna and salad for my DH's birthday lunch today with his family. They s/b here around Noon. We are also have a choc cake w/choc icing that I made last night. The table is set, the iced tea is made, and presents are wrapped. Hence me having a moment to come and say good morning. LOL

It is very cold here today and I am thrilled not to be going out in it right now. We are going to dinner tonight though, so I will have to bundle up then and just suck it up. Ha!

Good morning everyone.

Hope maw is doing better this morning.

We got another 3 inches of snow overnight. It has been fun watching the squirrels get here to eat via the fences since the snow is just too deep for them to use the ground.

We have started to take down our Christmas decorations. The poinsettias that I put out back so to make the back wll area look nice for Christmas -- they are buried deep in snow -- maybe I'll find them ion the spring -- whenever that gets here.

Nothing much planned here today - just happy to be home and inside as it is chilly here today - 23* with wind feels like 10*. My cat is out of sorts today so I will spend some time with her and watching some old Bette Davis movies on PBS today. Shepherd's pie tonight for dinner and chocolate pudding for dessert.

Off to make more coffee and cuddle with the cat!

Morning Everyone. Havn't had time to do much posting lately. Sister is here visiting. I've tried to read a little any chance I get.

Maw, sure hope you get better soon. It hurts my heart to know you are not feeling well. Take care, and hope the Dr can get you back to normal.

It is still cold here today, although it will be above freezing for a little while today. Yesterday was below freezing all day. VERY unusual for this area of Texas. My sister will leave tomorrow, so I'm glad it will be a warmer day.

We're waiting for grandkids Jimmy and Abbie to arrive, they will be spending the night here with us.
DD Ria and her hubby are having an evening with friends to celebrate DD's birthday.
DH and I are taking the little ones to see Alvin and the chipmunks later on today. Then out for pizza.

Terry, congrats on passing those tests. And so glad that it improves your permanent job chances. No wonder you were tense.

Cutes.. glad that you got some time off. If your temps are in the 60’s.. You are having a heat wave.. we are just at 37*
And I am longing for those warm days on the Equinox in a few short weeks.. Especially after watching videos of it from youtube on our TV .

Corky, please tell Denny that I wish him a very happy birthday. And the chocolate cake sounds wonderful.. that reminds me.. I am supposed to make brownies for tonight’s card night get together..

Ann, enjoy your visit with your sister.. I had a blast with mine a few weeks ago. I love to get together with her, and wish we could do it more often.

I received some more flowers this morning.

Respecting their privacy.. I will not tell their name either… But many thanks for the “theme” flowers.. how funny.. I like tea, so a teacup and saucer is so right.. and your husband likes OLIVES! Amazing huh?
