    Smile MAW'S SUNDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning all. come join me in a refreshing drink and some chat. another steaming summer morning. Paw has already settled into a movie this morning. Ceral was the coolist breakfast I could think of. Looks like another day of TV, reading and cold cuts.

Thank goodness we have a good AC unit that keeps house cool. Got the Electric bill for month just twice that of last month. This weather just seems to zap me completly. Having some allergy problems-so much drainage-cough cough cough--just always worry abt Pneumonia this time of year. Glad to hear Alf has kicked his-Jacquie just enjoy this week of time off. Sure wish I had one of those pools to enjoy. I may jus5 go stand in shower for a while today. My skin is so dry needs lots of moisture for sure. Maybe better would be to get the jar of lotion and just keep coating my skin.

Having a cruise to look forward to is what keeps me going. Just dread the time we can't go anymore-so little else in our lives.

What is happening in your corner of the sandbox? Play safe keep cool, keep hydrated.

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friends
We have rain this morning Yah!!! Its been raining since about 5:00am a light steday rain that soaks in & we needed it. A little cooler but they say that will change. They say the rain will quit about 11:00am or so & then the sun will come out & heat it up. Low 90's for the begining of the week with the humidity on the rise.
Made it to the graduation party yesterday afternoon. It was nice seeing so many people again & she sent me home with a plate of food for today. I ate the cake she sent this morning with my coffee. Sure was good.
Maw same thing around here just sitting back & relaxing.
    Take care

Good morning. So far today is cloudy but the forecast is for sun for the foreseeable future.

We went & paid the insurance on the van yesterday. Yikes! Every year we get more credit for accident free driving but the cost goes up & up!

The news says that allergies are down at this moment but I am still blowing & my skin is itchy. The perscription that I was given doesn't help that much & is greasy. Guess it is time to go back to the dr.

I tackled the pile of emails that I have to answer & danged if she didn't answer right back so I am no further ahead!

Try to stay cool but keep moving every few minutes.

Good morning. I decided to stay home while the guys went to Special Olympics bowling practice. I've been feeling tired lately and figured I could use the down time. I also have a busy week coming up, between a couple of writing assignments and courses.

The guys will be home in an hour...just enough time for me to take a catnap. Not that the cat will join me, though.

Wishing all a good day. Thoughts and prayers to all in need.

Good morning. It is still a cool 68 degrees here. Has been getting in the 50's at night, good sleeping weather, but still is in the 90's by afternoon.

Yesterday I went to town to pick up some prescriptions (I am on 17 prescriptions now and hate it) and treated myself to a pedi. No choice really because with this fractured spine I can't touch my feet. DH set up my ironing board this morning before he went out to haul some grain to town and I did a bit of ironing. My wardrobe is limited right now because of this back brace, makes everything tighter.

Nothing else on my agenda today except to sit and watch the Olympics on tv. Back to work tomorrow - I don't do anything that even gives my back a twinge, and being the only female in the office (sadly!) and being the oldest person there, everyone is happy to lift and help me out. I work with a good bunch of guys.

    Enjoy your Sunday.

    Re: MAW'S SUNDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning gang. Been a pretty lazy morning so far but have to get in gear soon & get the household chores done.

Maw, we were fortunate enough to get a couple of days relief from the heat/humidity but it is headed back. Still no rain; they said last week that we were 7 inches below normal. Everyone's grass is dead so no lawn mowing chores here. So nice the heat went away for the big 7 mile race yesterday as there were almost 15,000 runners from across the country & around the world.

Maw, we hope to get in at least 1 more cruise before our traveling days are over. The expense of airfare is a big issue & the scooter is great except for getting cabs to transport us in port cities. We would like to see Alaska but are studying lots of cruises looking for what would be the easiest for our traveling needs. I'm just happy being on the ship & being pampered! No cruise this coming year as DS#2 is getting married so our focus is to help the kids with whatever we can.

DD seems to be having a good time in Vegas & although hot, it is not like it is here with the high humidity. They did drive to San Diego & spent yesterday on the beach. She has never been to California. DS#2 is flying to Pennsylvania today for work. Both of them will be flying back home Thurs & landing within a few minutes of each other.

Been watching Olympic coverage off & on. What a relief to watch some programming without being bombarded with political ads during breaks. Who knew that watching a real commercial could be so refreshing! These political ads have been as oppressive as the extreme heat many of us have been dealing with.

That's about it from here. Enjoy the rest of your day.

    Morning Maw and everyone.

Nothing new here. Temps are rising but with a/c and the Olympics won't even notice. Have a client coming at 1 but that is it for work. I need a rest as I worked until 6:30 last night. Tried to watch the Olympics after dinner and fell asleep through some of it. Nice to be able to follow on the internet.

Off to do some laundry and maybe a movie later.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Re: MAW'S SUNDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Mark got to the bedding, and re-made it, mowed the lawn, and picking up the house.
yesterday we hit BJ's Warehouse for groceries, and Kohl's for clearance clothes for the grandkids..we hit paydirt for real..:)when you spend $98.57 and save $285.00..that's pretty darn good!!!

I got 8 batches of "Bumbleberry" Jam made: it's index is peach, blueberry, cherry, strawberry, apple.since fruit locally is hard to come by, and very expensive,I borrowed a GF's old trick, and increments of different types cooked, pureed, and then all in one, and then made .it's incredible..and I do have it last.some is for locals for gifts; mostly for the kids..
I have boiling of potatoes for potato salad, and eggs boiling on,I am next to make my monster omelet for work brekkie's..
I need to lose 4 more pounds to be back at goal..it's sure tough to battle it back, and keep it off, but after 5 years I'm not going back to the real war of weight gain......that wa sbad enough to get me to not have to do it again!!!!!!

Mark bought me a new pool floatie, so my goal is to get to use that, have a Napcar/Nascar/Olympic nap,and gear up for a lulu of a work week, last week was truly bonkers, I netted 57 hours in 5 days straight....
so I'll see how this week goes.I'm not holding out for too much..sigh.....

89 days and counting for vacation......take care all
our rain quota net is actually perfect..we shall see. .take care.hugs..Joanne

    Re: MAW'S SUNDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good afternoon Maw and Ramblers. It is a nice summer day here today sunny and in the mid 80s with the humidity down...I'll take it!

GS Austin spent the night last night and I had him clean the garage. We just got home from Best Buys....took him to buy a new desktop computer. He is working as a life guard this summer and earned the money. We just dropped him off at home so I am sure he is in the middle of setting it up now LOL.

Not much else to report from my end. Hope everyone is enjoying their day.
