MAW'S THURSDAY OFFICE RAMBLE

Good morning all. Come join me in a cool drink and some chat. It is almost 90 already headed for another 100. I elected to stay home this morning when Paw went to
Bolivar for groceries perscriptions etc. I just don't have any business out running around in this heat. Besides I promised him I would not go shopping again until next month. I really went overboard last week.

Thank good ness for all the books I have on Nook. Been spending afternoons in my lounger with feet up, big cup full of ice water. I stocked up last week on bing cherries and white grapes so use them for afternoon snack.

Been looking over my summer things picking out what is going cruising with me next month.Good wishes to everyone having tests and procedures this next week. Paw said he felt young until 70 then it took a complete overhaul to get him going again. He says he has a biotic body now days,.

Please keep cool everyone. Stay safe from all the violent storms you can expect with cool downs. What is happening in your corner of the sandbox?

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friends
Not as hot this morning it went down to 70 overnight for the 1st time in a long time. Its cloudy & dreary this morning but they say no rain expected today. Things will be heating up again for the weekend & the return of the high dewpoints.
Maw that was a god idea to stay back & relax this morning. I feel like you do dont need to be out & about in the heat & like you said saves money staying home.
My supply of bing cherries is getting low & I am out of raspberries but I think Beckie is going to the store tomorrow & she will bring some more.
I dont really get hungry in this heat just eat becaused I am boared. Always snacking on something.
No plans for the day here yet.

Good morning Maw & addicts,
The sun is out this morning and we may actually dry out a little. things are looking good to get some pool time in today. I have a few errands to run before I get the pool float out. I received an email last night that the laptop from my new employer should arrive on Monday. I have no idea how it happened but, my son is 39 today. Time really does fly.

Good morning gang. About bedtime I heard the rumbling of thunder & saw flashes of lightening--finally rain was coming!! But it was short lived & we got less than 1/4 of an inch. No rain chances in our forecast for the next several days. Temps in low 90s today & tomorrow before it turns extreme again. Pretty amazing when low 90s feels good. School starts here in 2 wks & the kids have been shut in half of the summer, only being able to be outside in the mornings.

Nothing to speak of going on with us these days. Hope everyone has a nice day. Stay cool & be safe if you're in stormy areas.

Good morning Maw, Jan & Ramblers to follow. It has already been a busy morning at my house. Son, his GF & granddaughters were here before 6 to wash the steer and pigs and get them loaded for weigh-in. DH loves this 4-H stuff so he headed to town to watch the weigh in. Tomorrow morning is beef showmanship and judging, Saturday morning is swine, and the sale is Sunday. All 3 girls are so excited! My daughters girls also have pigs, but they didn't keep them there this year.

My xrays showed my 5L is stable, so I just need to keep wearing my brace, no lifting, etc., but I can go back to work as tolerated. I have been waiting for the order to be faxed to my boss since Tuesday, and it better get there this morning! I have been off almost three weeks and cannot imagine what is waiting for me! They keep trying to bring someone over from dispatch to train for my job while I am gone, but so far it hasn't worked out. I think these three weeks will make it more of a priority!

Anyway, I am so ready to get out of this chair and go see some people. I think I'll be able to work at least 5 or 6 hour days. I also started the methotrexate yesterday, and am hoping for no side effects. Getting old has not been all that much fun!!

It has been in the high 90's for the last week but we have been blessed with 3 rain showers, no hail, so that is a very good thing. Will be glad to get this crop in the bin as it is looking good. This hot weather brings the hail and it has damaged crops next to ours, but so far we have been very lucky.

Had better get back to staring at the phone willing it to ring to say the fax has been sent!!

Good Morning Everyone

We got to 90 yesterday when the storms hit. Some areas got lots of rain. Some areas got hail. We got lots of lightning and little rain. Thousands are still without power. When we went to the bank this morning we discovered that they were closed. They lost power shortly after 2 PM yesterday.

Good Mornin maw and the rest of U Ramblers. Another HOT One here today so it will be MORE of the same as we worship the pool. U sound like U are running on the same wavelength as someone else here maw as the Nook is getting FULL use and the Cherries are being consumed by the bucket load. The Ranier cherries been on sale the last couple of weeks and we have consumed MORE than are fair share of those lil cherries.

Jan ... Glad it has cooled off a bit for U.

Geekette ... Enjoy your float around the pool.

KathyC ... U got some rain at least and hopefully there will be a bit more on the horizon to cool the temps off.

geejay ... good to hear U are making strides on the healing front and will be able to possible exit that chair soon.

KK .. sorry to hear about the storms and the power outages. Hopefully the crews will get out and make those repairs quickly.

Good Morning Maw and friends. We had the storms rumble in yesterday too. I was on the way to the ballpark walking through town and almost made it when the skies opened up. It was a bobblehead night so the fans arrived slowly but the game started on time which was good.

Today I'm home nursing a broken toe. I slipped on some water on the kitchen floor on Tuesday. It's still pretty swollen and purple so I decided just to work from home and prop it up today. I'm glad I have a job where I can work at home sometimes.

We are having a misty rainy day here. It is so needed.

It was a long day yesterday doiing the prep it is going to be a long day today. dh has app with skin doctor my test is not till 12;30pm I only hopeit does not get hot till tomorrow.
Once test is over I can get back to putting pictures on computer ect.

Good morning. It is a cloudy warm dry morning here.

Jacquie good to read that your operation was over so quick, now hope the rehab goes well. Audrey hope you & David get good results from your tests today. Alf's visit yesterday was only to talk to them about the operation so he didn't need a driver.

I am gradually getting caught up on things but I don't do well in the heat. I will start back to the Y this afternoon. It will feel good to get moving in the a/c.
