Re: Maws Tues Office ramble by Jan
Good Morning Jan, Maw, and Ramblers,
Jan, It'll be nice to get the surgery done and over with. I'll be thinking of you come Friday.
Maw, Sending you hugs and good healing thoughts today.
E, It will be so nice to just sit back and enjoy the new kitchen.
Corky, we too like going to the Longhorn restaurant. I usually get steak. DH orders the shrimp.
JK, you'll have to share some photos of your creative jewery making.
Whimsy, Enjoy visiting your grand Niece today. Mine was over for a visit Sunday. We had so much fun.
Reggae, How nice that your DH will be going to CA to visit your son. I'm sure that they will have a great time together.
Denise, Your weather sounds much like ours, Up and down. I guess Mother Nature is still having fun teasing us. Thankfully, there is a warm up coming our way in the next week or so. I can't wait to resume our walks again.
Kathy, I hope that you have a good day.
Yesterday GD Leann spent the day with us, she baked banana bread for her Mom and us. Then she and her Papa rambled on and on about National Geogaphic articles they read. It make me feel so good that our 19 yr old GD stil enjoys being with us.
Everyone have a great day.Last edited by connie seabee; 03-29-2011 at 10:39 AM.

Re: Maws Tues Office ramble by Jan
Good morning. It is a drizzly morning here but compared to most of you, quite warm. I have only turned one thermostat on.
I should wait until I have had my breakfast before I read all your menus! They all sounded yummy. I find myself ordering more appetizers than meals because most meals are just too huge for me. And if we are having Chinese we get 4 sides delivered or pick it up & we usually have meals for 3 evenings.
Hope that they have solved the problem of Maw's fuzziness & she is more with it today. And glad that it is a go for Jan's procedure on Friday. All the best Jan.
Alf had to take Lacey to the vets yesterday to get her checked out for her stay at her 'motel' while we are away. She did very well & this morning he is taking her to the groomers. She gets excited when he gets ready to give her her pills! I guess because she knows she gets a treat after!
Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning. I'm stopping in briefly during my lunch hour to say hello and to catch up with my fellow Ramblers.
Jan, I am glad to hear that all's a go for Friday. Sorry to hear about the computer frustration. I've had that happen, and it is annoying. I have two computers, one for work that is wireless and one for home that is wireless but has a wired option. There was one morning a few weeks ago that I couldn't get into the wireless from either computer. No problem with the wired set-up, so I moved to this computer. Thank goodness for remote access to the office's network.
Korina, thank you for the kind words. I am glad I was around when you called, and that I was able to help in some small way. HUGS!
Did some brief cruise work before logging into @ddicts. I booked a shore excursion out of Quebec City to the Island of Orleans and Montmorecy Falls. This was the family's choice as we have been to Quebec City several times, yet have not ventured outside of it. This will still give us time to walk the beautiful streets in town that we enjoy so much. Also booked Pinnacle Grill for the last night of the cruise. PizzaBoy does not like the dining room hoopla on the final night (he's very sensitive to loud music unless it's on his iPod or computer... go figure), so that is the night we chose. I'm sure we'll visit it another night, and once for lunch, as we love it so. Now, all we have to do is renew DH's passport (expires 5 months after the cruise, so want to be on the safe side), and book our short flight to Montreal. This is a one-way cruise that ends in Boston, so no worries about the return trip! Making these arrangements makes the cruise seem more real to me.
Wishing all a good day. I miss maw. Thoughts and prayers to all in need.

Good morning fellow @ddicts! ! ! Looks like another beautiful day has dawned. We had a little over 2" of snow fall Sunday night / Monday morning. First precipitation we have had in 27 days. The third longest winter dry spell since they have been keeping records.Hope Maw continues to improve, and hope things go well for you Jan. I am sure you will be glad when you are done and back to normal again.Einstien, I am guessing that you will be glad when this project is complete and your house is back in order. Good call to let the floors completely cure. No sense in rushing it.Have a GREAT day everyone, and stay safe! ! !

Good afternoon Ramblers
Just stop in to say hey
Three days of rain finally stop and the temperatures are about 20 degrees higher than yesterday.
Not much on the agenda today, just the normal everyday household chores.
Take care and have a good day

Re: Maws Tues Office ramble by Jan
Good morning Jan and Maw and all the ramblers. I'm dragging my tail this morning...it's already after 10am and I've done nought but walk the little dogs. They slept in and I took advantage of that
! It is a very, very gray day. I hate it when I have to have the lights on in the house in the daytime and today is one of those days!
Not much on my agenda today. I'm going to throw a couple of light loads in the washing machine and putz with books, puzzles and perhaps make a batch of cookies between times...a fun day!
Jan...I am so glad that you are all set to go for Friday! I'm praying that this surgery will set you on the road to being well!
Maw..hope you are feeling better and much less fuzzy today.
Corky...your dinner out sounds like it was delish! I love sweet potatoes (as long as they are not yams disguised as sweet potatoes
)
Denise...I continue to "adore" your little good morning pictures...they really brighten my day...Hope the sun comes out for you soon. I remember Virginia in the springtime...it is so beautiful!
E...I am envying you and red those new floors...and not looking forward to having mine done at all...bud definitely looking forward to the finished product!
Hi Kathy...amazing how much better one feels after a "trim"
reggae...no way you can get out to see DS when DH goes??
jk...you make your own beads??? That's amazing!
connie...What a wonderful day you had with your GD! I hope that when my granddaughter it a young woman she will want to spend time with us! Such joy!
Korina...UGH...I hated those late March snowstorms in COS! Stay cozy and warm inside! Hugs!
Liz...so glad that Lacey had a positive trip to the vet...she will not be happy to be left in the "motel" though! Ours come home happy but they are not at all pleased to be left! Your cruise is coming soon...enjoy the final bits of planning and getting ready!
Lisa...I love Quebec City! There is so much to see and do there. The falls are not Niagara
but they are well worth a visit!
Tobyn...dry winters do not bode well for summers!
Hi Jeanie...take a little time from the household chores to smell the coffee and enjoy!
Have a wonderful day everyone. Stay safe and be happy in it!!

Good Afternoon all Rain and colder here today but will warm up by the weekend when we leave of course but will be glad to get away. Looking forward to 2nd trip on Voyager.
Busy night in the ED last night. Just all the normal stuff. Only have to work tonight and tomorrow night then start vacation and packing etc as I've not done any yet. Guess I'd better start thinking about what all I need to get done before Saturday.
Everyone have a great and safe day and prayers for all.
Susan
