    Storms to continue to pound the Midwest

    Midwest

    * Rain & storms today from northern North Dakota to the Upper Ohio Valley

    * Some severe storms possible today near the Great Lakes

    * More storms expected tonight in the Northern Plains, with a few severe

    * Storms continue tonight near the Great Lakes and in the Upper Ohio Valley

    * A few severe storms tonight near the Great Lakes and Upper Mississippi Valley

    * Hotter than average temperatures expected for most, near average in North Dakota & Minnesota

    * Highs will range from the 70s from northern North Dakota to Upper Michigan to the 100s in the Central Plains

    South

    * Showers & storms possible Southern Appalachians, eastern Tennessee, northern South Carolina, and much of Virginia and North Carolina

    * Some showers & storms for the Louisiana & Texas Coasts

    * Breezy/windy conditions expected in the Southern Plains

    * Hotter than average temperatures from West Texas to northern Tennessee

    * Pockets of cooler than average temperatures along the Atlantic Coast

    * Highs will range from around 80 along the North Carolina and Virginia Coasts and in the mountains to the 100s in West Texas

    Midwest

    * Some showers & storms possible for the interior, Mid-Atlantic, & mountains

    * Cooler than average temperatures expected along the coast

    * Highs will range from the 60s along the New England Coast to the 80s for the interior

    West

    * Rain & storms possible through tonight from eastern Washington through northern Montana

    * Some showers possible today in western Washington and northwest Oregon

    * Windy conditions expected for much of the Great Basin, parts of the Rockies, and High Plains

    * High fire danger conditions continue for much of the Great Basin and the Central Rockies & High Plains

    * Hotter than average temperatures are expected from the Southwest into the High Plains

    * Cooler than average temperatures expected in the Northwest

    * Highs will range from the 40s in the Cascades and Northern Rockies to the 110s in the deserts of southeastern California and southwestern Arizona

    We got some much needed rain overnight. Looks as though we may get some more today.

    Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.
