Is a bear Catholic??? ;)
Let me think a second about the second...

guessing the top one is vatican city... as steve so graciously pointed out.. the second one i have no clue
Okay...DANGIT...I'm looking at that second one and it looks sort of familiar...
But, it also looks like nondescript industrial/commercial area...
Then it hits me...
Very tricky, Connie...
What it is is actually unincorporated county area just across the 101 freeway from Calabasas...
This is a small commercial area fronting the freeway...the hills just north of this is the "Hidden Hills" neighborhood...home to a lot of "rich and famous"...
To get to my house, you'd have to cross the freeway and head up Parkway Calabasas, through the Golf Course and past the traffic circle at Camino Portal...then over the golf course and left through the guard gates at Paseo Primario, then right on Alicante and left on Malaga...

Hey...you could visit the Calabasas Shul there or buy a motor home, or buy insurance or visit the Surgical Center (I hope no one needs this) or send the Kids to School to learn to make Movies....interesting strip mall area!!
edited to add....the Pet Cemetery is pretty handy too....hope no one needs that either!

Actually, not all that interesting...
There ARE two car dealers on that side of the freeway--a Maserati/Ferrari dealer and a Lamborghini dealer...There's also a Pet Cemetary...
The nice shopping area of Calabasas is on the other side of the Freeway:

...and...

...and our local historical landmark:

The local "landmark" restaurant is the Sagebrush Cantina, adjacent to the Adobe:
http://www.sagebrushcantina.com/
It's the second highest grossing restaurant in California...and can be a complete zoo on a weekend morning...Sunday morning, every motorcycle in the Southwest seems to make its way into Sagebrush's parking lot...
Of course, all of that is on the SOUTH side of the 101...which is why most of us find very little reason to visit that area pictured on the aerial photo...unless, of course, you want to but a Maserati...or bury a dog...
In Southern California terms, Calabasas is fairly historical...It was the temporary camp of the DeAnza party...the Spanish explorer who mapped out most of California, then a Stagecoach stop along the El Camino Real...The Leonis Adobe (1844) and the Plummer House (1870) date back to the 1800s (Old for SoCal)...
Of course, most of the development is considerably more recent...

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.
And for those who didn't get it, the name of the top building?
