Wos Mary Ann, that's something. I have been through a few Arizona Haboobs but never saw dust like that. It must have been massive.

Love to send you some of what we are having and take some of yours back here. Just not fair for anyone this summer it seems. Too extreme ...both ways

It's still hard to get that dirt off of things!
I haven't gone out that much so I don't know if people are walking around with masks. There have been lots of local warnings that seniors, youngsters and folks with respiratory problems should limit time outdoors.
The medical community is warning of a spike in Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis) cases - both human and animal - as a result of the dust. Keeping my fingers crossed for Pucci and me.

In reply to Christoffer's question, the photo of the thermometer was taken in the shade.
Some news media say our dust storm two weeks ago was the worst ever, some say it was the worst in one hundred years. Either way, it was bad. Dust still hangs in the air.

March 6th, 2013, Carnival Miracle 10 day Caribbean round-trip from New York!!!!!
Mary Ann that was some dust storm. I hope that they don't become the norm for you there. I can't believe the heat throughout the country. I'm just surprised and grateful that we have not heard of many deaths from the heat.
Ugh! Smart for you and your little Love Bug to stay indoors as much as possible. Please take care!
They promised us 81* today, but it's now a blistering 89*! We have an outdoor mister over the entrance / exit doors at work and use them all the time when it's hot out, which isn't often. People just stand there and get misted, and love it!
Mary Ann
We are going to have to have you and Pucci wear one of those diving helmets so you don't breath in all that dust. Plus on top of that wrap you in bubble wrap. What a sight you and pucci would be.
