Hi folks,

Well, southern LA had some tornado issues this afternoon , and now that has moved to the panhandle of FL and southern AL. And, we still have flooding issues.

Downpours from the Gulf Coast to New York

The heavy rain up to 4 inches slowly shifts into the Southeast and Northeast.

Flooding is possible from parts of the Deep South northward into much of Upstate New York and western New England.

After hitting southern Louisiana, severe thunderstorms now could target southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle overnight. By Sunday, a few severe thunderstorms will accompany the rain from the Delmarva Peninsula and southeast Virginia to Florida. The primary threats from these storms are damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, hail and heavy downpours.



As this storm shifts eastward and colder air arrives, the rain will gradually change to heavy wet snow through Sunday morning from the eastern Great Lakes to the southern Appalachians. Also the rain will begin to change to heavy wet snow across the northern parts of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Some locations across the upper reaches of the Northeast could see snowfall to over 18 inches by Monday. By Monday, the last of the snow and rain will be confined to Upstate New York New England.
