Honestly, if the cruise is sold out, the cruise is sold out. Unless you know someone on the cruise and can bribe them off the cruise, I don't see how you are going to get on the ship.

Re: HELP!! Need cabin on a sold out cruise
What Cruizer said, is probably true, but there was an idea in that answer.
Still, now, even if you could find someone willing to part with their cabin, you'd need to be on your way already. And even if you happen to live right there at the embarkation city, you aren't likely to get the necessary transfer into your name done at this late date. Especially as today is Sunday and you sail tomorrow.
If you had more time you might have tried hunting up the roll calls for that particular sailing. Look on all the cruise message boards, not just here at C@ddict. The other board (with initials CC) has an active roll for most sailings. That would be the only way I could think of to find cruisers from that ship. Although, getting someone to give up their cabin at the last moment, would have taken a lot of convincing.
So sorry, you are very likely to be disappointed.Last edited by Gayle V; 07-01-2012 at 02:25 PM.

I didn't think you could book that late anyway - - thought you had to book at least 3 weeks in advance?/

Is saw this post and figured it was too late to respond. They usually have the manifests finalized a day or 2 before sailing.

Donna, just checked Carnival's website and you can still book the Sensation for this Thursday July 5th, or the Imagination for Friday July 6th if you wanted to, since cabins are still available.

Re: HELP!! Need cabin on a sold out cruise
The cruise line must provide a list of the passengers to the government 60 minutes prior to departure. So, you can book, subject to what the cruise line will allow anytime prior to that. Because of the computer models the cruise lines (and airlines and most likely hotels) use, it is very unlikely that there will be cabins available for booking within two weeks of sailing. However, I have seen cruises sell out more than six months in advance. A few cabins opened up shortly after final payment was due, but that door closed rapidly.

Re: HELP!! Need cabin on a sold out cruise
Lots of people think that if you wait until the last minute you'll get a special "deal". In reality the ships are full. I have managed to book people wihin a few days of sailing a handfull of times. In almost 14 years, not very good odds. Sometimes you will see a last minute rate offered. Carnival calls them Pack & Go. These usually come out several weeks prior to sailing, not several days.
Bottom line....book early, book often. :-)

Actually, passenger manifests are submitted 30-60 minutes prior to sailing.
