      A little dancing music...

      Made my final payment today for my July Eclipse cruise to Iceland and Norway...

      First a little late drama: We booked this one over a year ago...and initially booked a Category 2D "obstructed view" balcony: #6209...Wasn't a terrible cabin as it was on the "hump" with a balcony about 2.5 times standard size...but there was a large tender/lifeboat parked in front of half the balcony and a stanchon in the middle of the balcony...but, the price was considerably less than the unobstructed balconies and this was an expensive cruise.

      Then, just a few days ago, I'm checking prices...and, Voila! They are offering a Guarantee rate on Concierge Class cabins for a price only $35 pp more than I'm paying for a 2D...I called my travel agent, we switched to the guarantee...and, today I also got my cabin assignment: #1659...a C2 port side, near the aft on Deck 11...The regular price for a C2 was over $1200 pp higher than my price!

      So, now we are just about set:
      We're flying to Heathrow June 29/30, renting a car and driving to Cardiff, Wales...Spending 5 nights at the Park Plaza Cardiff, then off to Southampton...2 nights at the Holiday Inn (which is literally right next to the pier where the Eclipse docks)...The 14 nights of cruising...then we're off to London for three nights at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge...then home...

      We've got all of our tours and excursions booked...

      Now I just have to wait it out for the ELEVEN WEEKS from tonight until the plane trip out...

      11 weeks -- that time will fly by.
