RCL Bug Problem

Friends of ours from Florida tell us that on their local news there was a story about some type of bugs on The Jewel Of The Sea and that two people were bitten and had to be sent to a hospital.

Any one aware of this story.

OMG! RCI should be bending over backwards to take care of these people. This is sooo wrong. And this poor guy, heart problems, moved to an inside cabin, the previous people walk in on them.. no no no... so wrong on so many levels!

The fact that the maintenance guy knew where to look!

I was just perusing another Cruise site and they are saying it was a Carnival (Glory?) that this happened on.

Where can we get some hard core facts?

I'm on the Jewel in October, I don't know what to think, but very itchy now

I read the review - it makes me itch! It looks like such a beautiful ship - they'd better fumigate it. I guess it wouldn't be hard for some unknowing passenger to stay at a hotel, pick up some nasty bed bugs and bring them onboard a cruise ship maybe in their pj's. Yuck!
