    Re: Remembering Your First Cruise.

My first cruise was on Carnival's brand new Holiday in July 1985 with my cruise brother Lou. It was a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, & Nassau. I remember skeet shooting and hitting golf balls off the fantail!! I was instantly hooked. Cruised 2 or 3 times a year from then on until I got married to Patti in 1994. Our honeymoon..... a cruise of course!! Her first,on the Sensation. Took a few years off to raise the babies, then resumed in 1998 with a cruise on the brand new Carnival Destiny. Been on at least one cruise a year since then. I've sailed mostly on Carnival (25th with them coming up this summer), but I've also sailed on Cunard, NCL, Premier, Celebrity, & RCCL.

Next up - 8/13/13 CARNIVAL SPLENDOR - NYC to GRAND TURK, HALF MOON CAY, & NASSAU.

Yes Jeff, I remember the skeet shooting and hitting golf balls off the fantail on my first cruise as well. Also the "poppers" with paper streamers at sail away with a free rum punch and being allowed to have guests on board before the cruise until it was time to leave.

"Brand new Holiday", now that's funny. My first ship went to the breakers several years ago.
