Homewood Suites comes highly recommended. You might want to check that out? It's near the Market.

Suer, On the budget side I would recommend the Best Western Plus, located at 200 Taylor Ave. N., located really close to the Space Needle. Phone 206/448-9444, good value. However, for a really nice place to stay I would recommend the Paramount Hotel, located at 724 Pine St. Check out their web page at Paramount Hotel Seattle > Home. DW and I are planning on staying there this summer.

    Jim,
Jim - may I ask you to post this information as well on our Alaska cruise Roll Call. Some who haven't chosen hotels yet may find this helpful. Thank you.

We have stayed at the Downtown Sheraton several times. We stayed last year at the Bayside Marriott -- we were there years ago and thought the place has gone downhill a little.

Also the Hilton Downtown is very nice.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.
