A report of smoke forced Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World to shut down briefly. But it turned out to be a false alarm.
Local fire department officials say there was no smoke or fire when crews responded. The ride, in the Magic Kingdom's Frontier Land, was closed for about an hour while an investigation took place.
A blown transistor may have been responsible for a burning smell, says Reedy Creek Fire Department Deputy Chief Richard LePere. He says the closure was just a precaution.
The disruption was minimal, says a Disney spokesman.
The popular ride culminates with everyone getting wet.
