Excursions - time to start thinking...

Anyone giving much thought to excursions yet?

Since we will be stopping in 2 of the best places in all of the Caribbean for snorkeling and diving (Cozumel and Grand Cayman) anyone else thinking about getting wet?

As E can tell you, there are often better options than the ship's tour, especially for snorkeling or diving.

If we get enough interest, booking a trip just for C@'s is the way to go.

Earlier today I just started to look at the ships excursions. As I have never been to the Caribbean I think it's a good way to start looking at those excursions to get some ideas of what to do.
It amazes me how many different excursions they have! It's in general a much more limited selection of excursions over here in Europe. The excursions also looks considerable cheaper over there.

I'm not sure, but in Cozumel we may go for some Mayan sites - if there are some close enough. No decisions yet though.

I have not booked anything yet but I am thinking of deep sea fishing for dh and I am going to take one of the cooking ship tours. I have not been to the other two ports so there is a lot of tours I don't know what to do.

I am still leaning toward a Cat Tour in Falmouth but just trying to decide on which one but the one below is getting my HIGH attention.

One can hardly go wrong with a visit to Pancho's in Coz. I am however getting tugs to deviate to Mr Sancho's possibly this time around as it not only offers good food & drink but beach access.

We haven`t started seriously looking yet but the catamaran looks interesting! We really wanted to do a jet ski thing in grand cayman as we`ve done the stingray thing. Been to Cozumel before and may want to go to PDC for the day to revisit our fave places.

    Too many options!

E, that does look like a nice cat excursion. Was not sure what we were going to do in Jamacia, but since that trip stops at Margaritaville, it has now moved to the top of the list (my list anyway, not sure about the Admiral).

    Terry,
Friends of ours did a jetski tour of Stingray City and the North End on their stop in GC. I will ask her who they used.

Re: Excursions - time to start thinking...

Been to all the port-of-calls many times before.
In Cozumel I would like to maybe do again the Passion Island. On my Oasis cruise had this tour booked, got to the Passion Island and after one hour the weather turned to be the worst ever of all my Caribbean cruises. After lunch we all got back from the island and this shore excursion was cut short, of course the weather got beautiful soon as we were back in port. Well, last year had this same tour booked again on my Allure-cruise, this time we did not get even out from the port, port was closed due hard wind. So I might try to get and finish this tour with some nice weather this time, keeping my fingers crossed.

In Falmouth, maybe do again a beach tour or a catamaran tour.

Grand Cayman, beach tour or a catamaran tour.

I've been to Ocho Rios three times. I have not been to any other port in Jamaica - yet.

In Grand Cayman the Turtle Farm and Stingray City are my favorites.

    For Cozumel I like ...
