Hi gang, I know it's early days, but I've been looking at New Orleans hotels. We've never been to New Orleans before, so we know nothing about the area. I'm not sure where we should be looking. I'd like to in one of those cute places, with a courtyard and French door balcony, but I don't want to end up in a seedy area. Is the French Quarter a safe area, or not. Do any of you have any input?

Gayle we too have not been to NO in years . As we usually drive there we have stayed aty Slidell or Biloxi usually before cruise. So many changes since Katrina do need c urrent information abt district safety.
