Phew... I was a bit worried that one night would cost like two BIG easy cruises...
May look into that too when it's time to book the hotel (have to arrange flight first).

That's a VERY good rate for the Marriott Audrey the $144.17 one that is. Is that price per person or for two??? If its for 2 then U have found yourself a bargain. I have my New Orleans specialist in charge of finding out camp out spot. A good choice may also be Hotwire or Priceline if anyone is NOT particular about the brand of hotel they reserve.

it is a price per person. and I am thinking of doing three days before and that would would be $371 per person. will not have to pay till dec 12 so if I come up with something else I can cancel. Let me know what you come up with.

With the price of air, we may be driving... It about 9 to 10 hours from Augusta... Therefore a park and sail will be in he works for us

I was checking air faire and on July 7 southwest is open up for feb march if they stay the same as they are I am going to book as soon as I get home under $400 each the best I HAVE seen was over $900 round trip.

Jeanie - we are driving down too. It's about 13 hrs. for us. This way I can stop and visit my sister post-cruise. There are a few options for park,stay & cruise. We ended up parking at the Fulton Street garage for pre & during the cruise and used priceline for the hotel. It came out less that way for us. I'll have to dig up my list from last fall with different options.

GGGGerrrrrrrr!!! I get so irritated some times!!! Oscar requires a room with an open frame bed ( uses hoyer lift to get into and out of bed, thusly needs the bed to be open underneath!!) Now the hotels are not guaranteeing we will have a room with the correct bed!!!!! With everything booking up, they can call the shots I guess.

So, anyway, It looks like Oscar and I will stay somewhere on the outskirts of town where the rush crowd will be minimal!!! We'll still try for any get together, but it will all just depend . I'm going to hush now, and head for bed.
