Miracle/Valor Cabin HELP!

Hi everyone! I just registered after reading through the posts for 3 days now, whew. You all seem so knowlegeable and friendly to boot!
So.........here come my questions.
We are a family of 4, children 14 and 11. We have sailed Carnival in the past, category 6 room...WAY TO SMALL for us. We are looking to cruise this summer, June-Aug. sometime on the Valor (1st choice) or the Miracle (2nd choice)
MIRACLE-My heart is set on the Cat. 11 corner aft suites with the wraparound balconies, but, can't find any available. What looks interesting and frightening to me on the Miracle are the dark green category rooms that back up to the elevators, ex. cabin 7299. They look like they have more room than the typical Cat. 8 room, but..........the noise??? They are literally right behind the elvator.
VALOR-Any idea what category the dark green cabins are, aft corners?
I understand that cabins are personal choice, what one person deems sufficient may not be enough for the next. We don't plan on spending our days locked in our cabin.............but, DH is looking to totally relax, even if it means spending a few hours relaxing in his cabin kicking back.
Any thoughts on either of the cabins? Recommendations?
