    Re: Maasdam 2012 - 25 Collector's Cruise

KK, I am in Buffalo, scene of the Colgan Air crash (operating for US Air). The copilot was rushing home to Seattle, on cold medication, so she wouldn't miss her Starbucks shift! We were actually driving to Charleston that day for Norwegian Majesty...

So I really appreciate Northeast departures. Boston, Baltimore, and even Charleston are fine for me. I detest driving in NY, and the parking is insane, but I can't argue with a 7 hour drive.

Lisa- check out the cruise I was supposed to be on: Maasdam repo on 10/6. 13 days. We were going to rent a car from here and drive to Montreal, then drive home from FLL. The car rental was really not bad at all, price-wise. Family obligations have intervened and we are on Veendam to Bermuda on July 29 instead.

Driving is no longer an option for us.

I have poor eyesight and limited vision. DH takes many medications and can only concentrate on driving for short periods of time.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement.

KK I have really enjoyed reading your review of Maasdam and the pictures. We enjoyed the one cruise we had on Maasdam out of Norfolk. Paw had wanted another HAL cruise but it has never seemed to work out. Not sure how many more cruises we can do. Just getting so hard to get around and transporting scooters is problem since I can't get in truck. I will hunt some of your other reviews now.

    Thank you Maw.

We aren't sure how many more cruises that we can do either. Getting old is terrible. Few of us really have never enjoyed the Golden Years.

    I haven't done a lot of reviews.
