    Good Deal with Pearl...yes?

I paid about 2100 for 4 for BB Balcony on Deck 10. Good deal? First, second are free only paid for 3rd and 4th. Something to do with the Casino Comp.

My feeling exactly. a deal is as good as you think it is. We can always compare prices, you may find someone who paid even less or claims they did, but to me this has always been a waste of time.

First of all, I think the Pearl is relatively new, Jewel class, so that is a plus. Balcony on deck ten, 7-day cruise for about $550 pp? That's a heckuva good deal, IMO.

Yes, the Pearl is part of the Jewel class and is almost new.

It's actually a 9-day cruise to Southern Caribbean. I went on Jewel for 7-day to Western in a suite and it cost me about 6500.00. I think I got a good deal.

One more question, the ship will be stopping 6 islands. I don't want to go on excursions on every islands. Can I still get off the boat and wandering around and tender back to the boat as I please? Thanks in advance

Yes, you can. You don't have to take an excursion, from the ship or booked privately, to go ashore and have a good time. Often, to enjoy the ship less crowded, I don't even go ashore when the ship is in port.

We often go to ports and don't do the excursions. We try to befriend crew members who then give us advise on out of the way shops or places to eat. That has often been very beneficial. The crew members (the ones not getting paid to push particular stores) are great resources for port information.
