After a handful of Carnival cruises and nearly a dozen on RCCL - we are trying out NCL after a terrible experience on our last RCCL cruise (case of mistaken identity led to my sober/non drinking husbands card to be turned off due to excessive drunkenness - we were treated horribly, even afterwards as I pursued our complaint after the trip, but I digress).

Anyways - headed to bermuda out of NY in a month and looking for thoughts on NCL v Carnival and RCCL. Obviously there's the freestyle dining, but how does everything else compare? Food quality? Spa? Service? Facilities? Child care?

And any tips or advice about either NCL or the pier in NY? We've always left from CA or FL...
