Polish Disasters

Hi Everyone, This is a very old, favorite appetizer. It has several names, so I'm not sure what to call it. My cousin's family calls them Hanky Pankys, a friend says her family calls them Polish Pizzas. I once saw an almost the identical recipe in a magazine, where they called it Mrs. McCafferty's Spread. We always called them Polish Disasters. (I think the real disaster they cause is to your diet. :grin )

So call them whatever you like, they are delicious.

Polish Disasters

1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound ground bulk sausage
1 pound Velveeta cheese
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Brown meats and drain off fat.
Add remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly
and spread on Cocktail Rye Bread slices.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
