Can anyone tell me what the average age on the Constellation appears to be ? Also I am curious about the concierge class. Are the staterooms much bigger and is the service any better?

Pretty well all rooms on the M class vessels are the same size except for suites and special places.

Concierge class are all the same as most rooms with balconies. You get a few extra treats and our service has been the same where ever we have been.. Unless you get a suite with butler it's all the same.. Great in our experience.

I see someone answered you in the other forum. I'll just add that longer cruises have more of an older crowd and that's the same for most lines. Holidays from school generally mean more youngsters. We are in our 60's now and on an X seven dayer are probably middle of the road to older. The last 15 nighter we were on we were on the younger side lol. None of our cruises were what you would call a holiday period.

Welcome to the Cruise @ddicts boards. enjoy.

Thanks for the reply Moderator. I have usually had pretty good luck with Celebrity altho I noticed a few more cutbacks on our last couple of cruises with them, e.g. food, attitude of the wait staff, table settings with paper napkins, etc. All cruise lines are maximizing their profits with ever increasing bar prices, tour prices, etc. We are in our 60's also but enjoy younger crowds as we still have all our faculties (so far). I know that Celebrity boasts the largest average cabin space on the water however I was hoping the concierge class was a little larger again.

I inadvertently posted on another board by mistake and can't now I can't locate it. Can you point me in the right direction so I can read the other response?

If you are on the Constellation next February maybe we will cross paths.Enjoy your cruising.

You're Welcome....... don't worry you didn't make a mistake and I lose track of my posts all the time. Here's how to find yourself. Klick on your name as poster in this post. then.... Klick on "Show all Posts" or you can use the search button and just put in your name.
You can subscribe to a thread and the system will send you an email when you get replies. That works real well when you ask questions.

If you have cruised x before join in and share. Most of the traffic here is on the Q&A forum and Aft deck is where the community hangs..

enjoy.

I'd love to join you on the Connie but as my signature says...

I'm only going to be here ...not there. :)

This will be our 5th X Cruise...several cruises on other lines. Decided to take advantage of our Captains Club membership and stay with Celebrity. Thanks for the advice.

My recent 12 day on Constellation was one of the youngest adult crowds I'd ever seen. And as I said in my review, mostly Europeans late 20s, 30s and 40s outweighed the over 60 crowd by far. I do not recall seeing paper napkins....except at the pool hamburger place, etc. I had cloth napkins in all dining rooms. Like Bob said, no CC class is same size, even though they claim it's bigger.

Having just heard back from friends who two back to back cruises on RCL, there is no way I'm leaving Celebrity. The horror stories were endless. Remarkable they own Celebrity Lines.
:help (td)
Example: My friend asks the waiter at dinner "May I have a shrimp cocktail?" The waiter replies, "Sorry sir, there are only so many shrimp to go around. Perhaps we will have that on the menu another time". No, I am NOT KIDDING. No one was permitted to order more than one of anything. Laundry bag was only done for hot water items (i.e. underwear and t-shirts). No "nice" clothing permitted. The stories KILLED ME...all very low class stuff. They said there were no trays for lunch buffet, you had to balance a plate and utensils while walking around a mobbed room with no waiters to escort you or help you find a table, which they could never find. They said the food was all pre-cooked and mostly cold. Horrible. He and his wife said they felt like they fell into a sewer, since they always cruised Celebrity. They said never again. I'm with them.

We've cruised RCL a few times and wouldn't go back unless some changes were made in itineries among other things. Very disappointed in service and general class and cleanliness...so upset in our last cruise we complained 1st night and they upgraded us to the Royal Suite...that's absolutely perfect to me as long as I don't have to pay for it. We have preferred Celebrity in the past ; just concerned once RCL purchased the line the class would go down....and it has in some instances. We've changed from Constellation to Solstice in February, just to have the 'aft' cabin (our preference).
