We certainly didn't have Captain Van der Hottie in Alaska. In fact, I never saw the captain anywhere. The scooter finally arrived around 3:00 this afternoon, with the bell ripped completely off and the batteries not quite completely ripped off. My experience in First Class consisted of a glass of apple juice and a glass of ice water served in glass glasses, but as it was a short flight, no food. I take that back.....I got a Clif bar and Leon got a bag of Pop chips. The seats were pretty nice until the guy in front of me reclined his, which served the purpose of us being able to hear the multiple F-bombs and a running diatribe of where to find the best sluts in Los Vegas a bit better. I'll bet his Momma would really be proud to hear his version of proper English!

Glad to hear the scooter is home, sorry to hear about the damage. It was great to see you both in Seattle.

Who is Captain Van Der Hottie? (We just had a Captain van-something.) PM if you prefer.

I have to agree with Jacquie. We didn't see the Captain once. I actually kept an eye out for him so I could give him a DUCK! It would have been a treat to watch him become apopleptic.

Lorraine made it home about 10 PM Friday. I got to NJ about 1:15 AM Saturday. Our luggage still hasn't arrived! United says it's at the various home airports, and VIP says they can't find them. L lost 2 suitcases, and I lost 1 large suitcase.

I was good to see everyone again. And Alaska is still a beautiful place to unwind.

Sorry to read that you had issues with your luggage. All that we have misplaced is 2 socks. Oh well it was time for new ones! It is good to be able to put a face to Captain Weather. You sure came through for British Columbia today!

Time to read the books that I got in Alaska & renew the sight of that lovely country.

We are finally home. The flight got in a bit early, but we were stuck waiting on the tarmac a while due to an emergency on another plane. We're sorry for those of you who had problems on your trips home. :(

It's 1:15am here and Mal is on his way to Wendy's...we're hungry and wide awake!

They are quacking their way east. They were sent FedEx Ground on Friday!

Sorry about the luggage problems! We received all of ours, and I even saw it on a cart at the airport here in Tulsa. We could have taken it with us from the airport, but both of us were too tired to deal with it so we got it around 9:30 yesterday morning.

I know you mean about the seattle airport we have problems checking in and then they changed our gate 3 times from one end of the airport to another. Stephanie kept calling that she at the house and it was a mess so she cleaned it and even cleaned the carpet bRANDYN had his dog with him and he is not house trained, I really did not give him permission to bring his dog over. Both david and I were a mess and then the Tv would not turn on I did not get to bed to after 2pm. I have no food in the house think I can pull together lunch but think I will order pizza for dinner tonight It was a great cruise I enjoyed spending time with all the ducks and met a lot of wonderful new friends also,.

Hi Audrey

I am so glad that you stopped by our table and introduced yourself to us. We left for Seattle way before the Bon Voyage thread started so I am thrilled that you saw our picture and recognized us. I joined this thread -- but no one said anything -- so I never came back until this evening.

Sorry you had to change gates so many times. SeaTac has grown over the years and it can become a hassle when you have to change gates -- especially if you have to move all over the airport with various terminals.

Yonnie, it was a big enough ship that I'm sure we all missed people we had hoped to meet. It was hard enough to catch up with our own group! As you might have noticed, we haven't been around much because of work/Family issues.

We were lucky with SeaTac. The only problem we had was walking halfway home to get to our get in Gate S4. I hope you enjoyed your cruise, and that you had a safe trip home!

Perhaps our paths will pass again when things are not as harried and hopeless!
