Got our Doc's for the Grandeur

    Hello everyone
we got our doc's last week for the Grandeur of the Seas sailing on May 19th for the Mediterranean out of Barcelona, can hardly wait. We are really looking forward to it, but I cant believe how expensive the shore excursions are. We only bought one the 9 1/2 hr Amalfi Drive-Sorrento & Naples, As anyone done this tour before? Any info would be helpful. The rest of the ports of call we will just do on our own, hope we wont have to much trouble!!

    Charlene,

We just sailed on the Grandeur April 21-28 on it's move from San Juan to Miami repositioning. It is a beautiful ship. Our group had 5 couples and we always did our own tours privately and it was in the Caribbean so we can't help you tour-wise. When at sea, our group spent most of their time at the Solarium pool. It was not nearly as crowded as the main pool but had all the sun and/or shade that you could ask for.

We preferred the Windjammer Cafe for breakfast and the group split between the Windjammer and the Solarium (burgers, fries and pizza) for lunch. We had a teriffic waiter and busboy so the Great Gatsby Dining Room was a must each evening. Of the twelve cruises we have been on, this ship is close to the top if not the top ship we have been on.

    Good luck and Bon Voyage.

    Bibb
