Seattle Pier

Since we last cruised Holland America out of Seattle a few years ago the terminal location has changed from the area south of downtown to a new pier. We are scheduled to cruise from Seattle to Alaska next weekend and would like some airport to pier cost information from someone who has cruised HAL from Seattle recently.

I would like to know the approximate travel time and cost for a taxi or commercial shuttle from the airport to the cruise ship pier. Or would it be easier just to use the cruise line shuttle?
Looking forward to Alaska on the Westerdam next Saturday.

Regards,
Mike and Mary Ann

HAL uses Pier 91 -- futher from the airport.

It is about a 30 minute ride from the airport to the pier -- all depends on traffic. Taxis will be about $50 - $60 -- depends on traffic.

There is a shuttle service you may want to check out:
Cruise Transfers | Shuttle Express | Share Ride Service to SEA-TAC Airport | Hotel and Cruise Transfers

We have always used AlreadyThereTownCar - a limo service -- costs about $60 for 2 people - each way.

I think HAL is charging $56 per person round trip for their transfers. On disadvantage of HAL 's transfers is you have to wait until the bus is filled -- could take a while.

Thanks for the information. It is just what we needed to plan our ground transportation.

We really appreciate your quick response and the good timely information.

Looking forward to another great HAL cruise. ----Mike & Mary Ann

I can't do much better than that info. Other than there is rapid rail to downtown Seattle and then you could switch to a taxi if you wanted to save a few bucks. :)

Me I would be taking the limo...less hassle
