Port of Rome transportation

We have a transfer booked thru RCCL from Rome airport to the port of Rome for the first leg of our trip. We will need to travel from the port back to Rome proper for a seven day stay. Then arrange transportation from Rome proper to the port again to catch a Celebrity transatlantic cruise. Not sure how difficult this will be doing it myself or should I try to use the cruise lines for transfers in advance. We have never traveled this region so completely unsure of what is best to do. Would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. RCCL is charging $92 each for transfer from airport to cruise port. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Train is cheap and comfortable--as long as you don't cut the time too close you should be fine (Station in Civitavecchia is walking distance from port).

I’ve used RomeCabs. They are excellent and a lot of cruisers have used them. Book directly on their website.
