Good morning gang. A very gloomy day here. It rained all day yesterday & we are getting light rain now but they say it will clear off by afternoon before more t-storms move in tonight & tomorrow. I would like to get the grass mowed today but don't know if that will happen.
Saturday was a gorgeous day. We went to the cemetery to put out flowers. My mom & step-father are buried on Arsenal Island; it is beautiful there the way everything is lined up so uniform & the grounds are maintained so well. Their grave is located under a large tree. It is so peaceful & serene. Even though she has been gone many years I still miss her so much.
Yesterday we got some more work done on the house. Things are coming along but I'm waiting til school is out (10 school days left) & the daycare kids are gone to start the painting that needs to be done.
DS#3 got fantastic news late Fri afternoon. He got hired at a local major manufacturer & starts in mid June. He tried to get on there a few years ago & interviewed but nothing happened. He didn't give up & decided to try again. He said it had been a few months since he applied & interviewed then out of the clear blue he got the call. He is so happy. The manufacturer he has been with for almost 10 years is a small business & can't pay what this other place can. His base salary will be $3+ more per hr than he gets now. He will have a better insurance plan that will cost him $50 a wk compared to the $120 per wk he is paying now & he will have a better 401k plan that he will be able to contribute more to. He was so excited. DIL started a new job a few months ago that pays more so things are
starting to look up for them.
