Don't take all the reviews to heart!!!
We sailed on the Sensation in May 2003 and she was fun and enjoyable.
We too read and study the ship and the Ports of Call for months before our cruise.
Read some good and some bad.
Now if you go with the idea that your going to look for everything that's wrong then you will not enjoy yourselves.
Go with the idea of having a great time and you will. Don't sweat the small stuff.
I read one post before we went from a guy who, must not have done anything fun, but walk around the ship looking for all the flaws. He mention in his review that there were like 14 light bulbs out on the lido deck. Well if that's all I had to do on a cruise then I'm not having any fun. Just go and enjoy your cruise. The ocean and the beauitful ports.
We found the Sensation in good shape for the age of the ship. The crew was always busy clean her. The crew as well was always helpful and friendly.
Food was good and cabin always cleaned and towel animals and beds turned down.
