As he is in the hospital yet again with something. Not sure if it is the flu, virus or something more serious. We are tying to get an MRI done as he is having headaches and from all I know in the cancer world, brain tumors quite often appear after what he has gone through.
Sorry to hear this but as Shipmaven said don't think the worst & I know that is much easier said than done. Positive thoughts that this is simply a small bump in the road & that he will soon be feeling much better.
Oh, Cindy, I am so sorry to hear this, but as Mary Ann and KathyC have said, TRY not to think the worst. It could be something very simple and fixed in a jif. Very special prayers coming to you and please keep us updated. Fingers crossed and positive thoughts to you....:angel
Thanks for the encouragement. We have been doing this SO long that sometimes the worst is all that I CAN think of. I wish I was more the glass half full but I am afraid that is not the case. The news I do have is that the doctor is not doing an MRI as he believes it is the flu. They will be doing a chest X ray and more blood work but I am a little more at ease. I do appreciate your support here and that is why I come here. Please don't think badly of me when I jump to conclusions.
We don't think badly of you, we want to hug you and comfort you. This is your child, and very few of us have been in your shoes. Relief that the doctors feel it's just the flu, let us know how he's feeling. Prayers it doesn't hit him too hard.
Cindy, Glo hit the nail on the head...we would NEVER think anything less of you; you have been thru more than most of us could ever imagine...I have had some "very serious medical problems" in the past (tho it doesn't compare at all to having your child go thru this) and I know where you are coming from with the glass half full/half empty. I am the same as you because if you think the WORST and it IS, then you have "prepared yourself." If you think everything will be fine and then it's NOT, you have to pick yourself up all over again...don't ever feel embarrassed or ashamed to come to us. That is what we are here for. Fingers crossed Elliott is feeling a bit better today and Mom is too. =hug =hug
After what your family has been through, it is just natural that you would think the worst. But sounds like the doctors are thinking other wise. We are all there for you and just hope that you don't catch the flu if that is what it turns out to be. I just can't imagine the pain that you are going through! I think it would be easier to have the illness my self than one of my kids.
Thanks again. Elliott is home, not feeling all too well, but home just the same. They believe it is either a virus or the flu but nothing like what I was thinking. Still the headaches remain. Perhaps sinus?
