Hi folks,

From the WC:

Tropics finally quiet
7:59 a.m. ET ET Sun.,Oct.3,2004
Buzz Bernard, Meteorologist, The Weather Channel

For the first time since the 24th of August, there is no named tropical system in the Atlantic Basin; nor is there an imminent threat of one developing. :) :)

About the only disturbance of note is a mid-level low over the western Caribbean triggering downpours and thunderstorms from just north of Panama and Costa Rica to near the Cayman Islands.

For the moment, both the eastern and western Pacific are devoid of tropical cyclones, too.

The quiet is SO nice! Have a good Sunday. :wave
