Our House Sports Bar, Oceanview Promenade, midship. This bar was dead almost the entire cruise. The reason? They almost NEVER had any sports on in there!! There was ONE special exception, which I will go over later in the review.....

Here is the very first sunset of our cruise. Spectacular!!

Soon it was time to head to our first dinner of the cruise. We had the Late Seating on the upper level (Deck 4), of the Gold Pearl Restaurant. I had emailed the maitre d' a few weeks prior to the cruise and requested a booth for two (Table # 515), which is exactly what we received. Our wait staff, Bernie, Daniel, & Ever were not the most efficient group we have had (except for Bernie), but they got the job done. Here are Patti and myself at our first dinner.....

It's gotten to the point that we know these old menus by heart. We can't wait to sail on the Breeze and experience the American Table, and the American Feast again! Anyway, we do have our favorites. Tonight, we both started off with the chicken tenders.....

Patti also had the cream of tomato soup.....

For our mains, we both had the sweet and sour shrimp.....

I also had an order of linguini with sausage and peppers.....

To be continued.....

For our desserts, Patti had the butter pecan ice cream, and I had the chocolate ice cream. Looking up at the ceiling, I guess those things are supposed to represent oysters with pearls, but to me they look like fried eggs!!! Lol.

After dinner, we went across the way to The Web, to set up an internet account so that we could communicate with Ryan via email. In the Robusto Bar, the theme was Latin music, provided by the Hispaniola Trio.....

We decided to try our luck at the Royal Flush Casino. Outside of the casino on the Oeanview Promenade, party music was being played by Music Boardwalk.....

Patti played the slots, and I played blackjack for an hour or so, before we decided to call it a night. We both broke even for our time played. Here is some casino information provided by the Player's Club.....

When we got back to the cabin we found our first towel animal waiting for us.....

It was a GREAT first day!!!!

Coming up next: Our first sea day.

Hello again everybody! Time to tell you about our first day at sea.....

We woke up about 8am after a good night's sleep. It wasn't raining but the skies were overcast, so there will be no sunrise pictures today. The seas were fairly calm though it was a bit breezy out.....

It looks like we missed that storm.....

We got dressed and made our way to the Gold Pearl Restaurant for the Sea Day Brunch. There was a little bit of a line to get in, but it moved quickly. The Gold Pearl Restaurant and her chandeliers.....

After the brunch, Patti and I made our way to the Spectacular Lounge for a round of bingo. Now Patti and Ryan always seem to do well at bingo, so I hope my presence there doesn't jinx Patti! Anyway, here is the bingo schedule for our cruise, and the prices for the bingo cards and daubers.....

It was a three game set, and of course I put the hex on Patti. When you get one number away from winning you are supposed to stand up. Patti and I sat on our butts the whole time!! Afterwards, I decided to go test my luck in the casino, while Patti was going to stay for the Fun Ashore, Fun Aboard presentation, hosted by our Cruise Director Malcolm "Whoo Hoo" Burn......

Patti said he was extremely funny, and to top it off, she won a free VIP excursion for two in Nassau. It was for the catamaran sail and snorkel tour, and would have cost us $120 if we booked it ourselves. However, we had our plans already set for our day in Nassau, so we gave the free tour to a couple of our fellow roll call members, who were really appreciative of that.....

Patti did eventually join me in the casino to play some slots, while I played blackjack. Let's just say it wasn't our day and leave it at that. Lol.
Around 5pm we decided to head up to the Cloud 9 Spa and use our spa passes. This was a great time to go, as we had the place practically to ourselves. Here is one of our favorite places, the Tepidarium.....

I just LOVE those heated loungers.....

Nothing beats relaxing in the Thalassotherapy Pool.....

After about two hours, we showered at the spa (great showers there by the way), then made our way back to the cabin to get ready for Elegant Night Dinner. Here are a couple of pictures of tonight's sunset.....

Here we are enjoying some wine at dinner.....

I started off with 2 orders of the stuffed white mushrooms.....

Patti had the spaghetti carbonara as a starter....

Patti had a Caesars salad next…..

While I had the alligator fritters…..

We both enjoyed the lobster and grilled shrimp. I confess, I had 3 orders!!!

For dessert, Patti had the caramalized apples……

While I enjoyed the cherries jubilee…..

The waiters sang “That’s Amore” tonight.

After dinner, Patti was feeling a little tired, so she went to check emails, then went back to the cabin. I went to the sports bar hoping to see the Women’s World Cup semi final between the USA and Germany, but no, the place was deserted, and there weren’t ANY games on. Geez!!!

So I sat down at a blackjack table, and quickly donated a $100. I decided to go to the 11:30 comedy show starring Michael Macy, who was very good. I made my way back to the cabin, where earlier Patti had taken a photo of tonight’s towel animal, and our VIP gifts (travel game sets).

It was another great day!!

Coming up next: another relaxing sea day.

Today is our 2nd consecutive sea day.....

We slept in again today, and we awoke to another hazy day. It wasn't raining, and the wind had diminished since yesterday. The seas were nice and calm.....

We went up to the Lido for our breakfast today and we both had omelets. I was going to the casino to try my luck once again, while Patti made her way to the El Morocco Lounge for this morning's bingo session, followed by the Fun Finds Shopping Show at the Spectacular Show Lounge. BTW, Patti didn't have any luck at bingo today, despite the fact that I wasn't there! Lol. Here is a shot of the back of the Spectacular Show Lounge.....

The Fun Finds Shopping Show.....

Today was the first blackjack tournament of the cruise, so I went to get my buy one get one (BOGO), entries from the casino cashier. I would use one entry today, and the other later on in the cruise. Patti got this shot just before my qualifying round started.....

I wound up being the 4th highest qualifier at this point, but would it hold up?

No it wouldn't. I was knocked out in the last round of qualifiers. Patti and I played blackjack for a few hours, and we broke even for our time. We heard and then saw the Dr. Seuss parade go by on the promenade, so Patti made her way to the Spectacular Show Lounge to get some pictures. The stage is set for the parade's arrival.....

The parade started in the El Morocco Lounge and went the whole length of the ship to the Spectacular Show Lounge. Then Malcolm, assisted by some staff and parents, read and acted out the story of the Cat in the Hat. A great time was had by all. Patti took a bunch of pictures.....

The kids sat right on the stage.....
