Atlantis Day Pass?

Hi everyone,
I will be in the Bahamas next week on Soveriegn and was wondering if anyone had any info on how to get day passes to the Atlantis. Specifically interested in use of pool, chairs, etc., I remember doing this quite a few years ago and hope it is still an available option. If not, are there any resorts that allow cruise ship pax to use faciilities for a 1/2 day/few hours at a reasonable cost? Other option is to just taxi to a public beach-any suggestions there?
Thanks for your help!

Try the comfort inn website. When you find the one across from Atlantis you will see that if you have a room there you get full use of Atlantis facilities. I have been told that this hotel is used to people booking a room and then just checking in and out at the same time just to get the use of Atlantis. The rooms are less than Atlantis, look on the website and you will see you can get discounts even for being an internet user! I have been told you could check-in before the 3 p.m. check in time, since you aren't really using the room. There was a room available for when I will be there and I booked it for $175 +tax. This would be less than a shore excursion for 5, but I am still not sure how it is going to work for 5 since the room is for 4. Perhaps I will have to pay a little more for the 5th person.

We I guess got lucky and walked through Atlantis and then back through the pools(I wasn't interested to much in the pools I have one at home) and off to the beach! The neat thing was we got our own chairs then after we were dont laying out we walked back through the bridges and by the gators and the ponds was really neat!

We walked all around the Atlantis twice, love that place. No use of the pools or slides is allowed if you are just visiting, but just walking around is great enough. Some people have successfully used the pools and slides; I guess depends how attentive the guards are that day.

they check you r room key at the beach and the pools as well as in the hotel. its very hard to get past security there.
