Can you sneak alcohol on board Princess?

I have sailed with Royal Caribbean many times and have never
had a problem sneaking alcohol aboard in my suitcase or carry-on.

I hate to use the word "sneak," but let's face it, the ship lines are
not too crazy about passengers bringing their own bottles of liquor
    aboard.

Some lines will overlook it (RCCL), others will put an emphasis on
making certain no liquor gets past them (NORWEIGEN).

I'm not looking to throw a party on board the ship or be disrespectful
with my drinking habits. Fact is, I want to buy liquor for my cabin and
I don't want to have to pay the hefty fees the ship charges to bring
liquor up to the room from their store.

    So, the question is this....

How much emphasis does Princess put into checking luggage
    for liquor?

    Thanks in advance.

Princess lets you bring it on...Just don't over do it. Carry it on.

Wine and Champane you can bring in your carry on bag.

I was thinking more along the lines of Rum and Vodka.

We did that also. You will find to purchase on the ship is not too bad. About the same as stateside.

Okay, let me ask a different question....

Obviously there is a liquor store on the ship.

Can we purchase liquor in that store and immediately bring
it up to our room without an added surcharge?

You see, on RCCL they charge you an extra $10 to bring
the liquor up to the room (as opposed to receiving it at the
end of the cruise). The $10 fee is waived AFTER you leave
    the last port of visit.

What is Princess' policy on purchasing liquor onboard and
bringing it up to the room?

Thanks in advance to all of you who have been so helpful.

If you go to Princess's web site and go to the gift section I'm told you can order liquor for yourself ,on your sailing sent to yourself...delivered to your room for comparable prices..=shrug..not much of a drinker...:grin.. ..never done it..but that's the scoop I've read..Good luck ....check it out....:thumb..Joanne

When we travelled on the Golden this past April, we ordered a bottle of rum from room service. It arrived in 15 minutes, it was Captian Morgans Spiced Rum and it cost us 22$. This is about what we would have paid on land.

I purchased a bottle of Kahlua in Puerto Vallarta and fully expected to have to check it when we got back to the ship. We were able to take it back to our room, no problem.

You can order liquor with mixers, soda, beer and bottles of wine etc. pre-cruise at the Princess website.and it will be in your cabin. Bring some chips and nuts and have a ball.

Buy your mix before you go on board. A six pack of coke costs $7.50 on the ship.
